Yea, people became fans because Wu used to make music to those standards. Why should people be happy for music that isn't at the standard they want? It would have been better for the album to not have been made at all

so once you make classics, that's it? Nas should only have 1 album?

its not a wack album, mediocre to some im sure but they did not embarrass themselves at all. not much music would get made if every artist tried to match their best work

i'm only part way through and it's hit or miss so far.

this miracle track is seriously one of the biggest clusterfukks in music history though. i mean, what the fukk man. how could anyone think it would be a good idea patch together a disney song and a boom bap track. i thought someone threw this on the download just to fukk with people until i head the beat drop. wow. what a piece of shyt.

Surprised at the amount of conflict in this thread. I've listened to it maybe a few times now, and it's not a bad album by any means. Surprised by the level of flack some are giving this record.

It's only gonna get worse. A lot of these cats can't make up their own mind and just decided to sh!t on this album because a few didn't like it. That's how the Coli goes. Shiiiit, that's how the internet goes.

Could've been a classic Wu track and one of the best tracks released this year If RZA kept that bullsh!t singing off of it. I know 4th Disciple has to feel a way about that.

The crazy thing is, to me at least, if they put out a sample laden product similar to the first three records, people would call it dated. If they put out an album full of trap 808 sounds, people would say they're trying too hard. Folks on here are complaining about the hooks for crying out loud. The hooks!!!??!?!? Who complains about a hook? I swear breh, only Hip Hop fans man. N!ggaz analyze too much, debate too much, instead of just appreciating the music and rhymes for what their worth. I don't think Rock fans are as anal as Hip Hop fans.

Yea, rap music fans are fvcking anal. BUT I do agree with some that the hooks on this album prevents it from being a really SUPERB album. I enjoy this album but some of the singing on it is cheesy. I can't fault anyone for being annoyed by it.

I can't think of any artist in any genre that put out better work at 40+ than they did in their 20's and 30's, so if you compare something so closely to classic work they did 20 years ago you will always find a reason to complain

and im not saying they are beyond reproach, if @GinaThatAintNoDamnPuppy! doesn't feel it that's his right, im not gonna think less of his opinion because of it. but that mindset is not what musics about to me, music is about experimenting and trying to push boundaries. hiphop needs more of that, but I feel veteran artists are afraid to go beyond what they are known for
