highkey these strikes are taking away leverage from the IATSE negotiations that are supposed to happen (next year iirc)

they can't even threaten with another strike because this current one is fukking over non acting/writing film crew as well and they're just gonna wanna get back to working, producers are gonna know this

guarantee if iatse DID go on strike all these same actors and writers would be more open minded to having non-union crew :mjpls: that solidarity doesn't work both ways

Yeah.. if their gonna strike they better do it now while the writers and actors are striking..

wouldn't make sense breh

Iatse isn't at negotiations rn so it'd be irrelevant

And they already got forced into the strike since actors stopped working (they would have still filmed stuff that was already written otherwise) work would have still stopped once the written material ran out but atleast people would have more time to plan ahead and save.

Not to mention there's actual protocol once a union officially agrees to strike, rules and guidelines type shyt. No reason to do that if you already sitting at home out of work because other unions are striking

It's like if the NBA players were on strike during negotiations, and someone suggests the refs should go on strike too. They don't need to since the games are already stopped :yeshrug: and it wouldn't make sense if they weren't also negotiating a new contract at the same time.

They showing Yellowstone episodes on CBS now, I wonder if this is related to the writers strike due to CBS not having no new material for the fall?

Sherri Shepherd and Jennifer Hudson bringing their talk shows back :snoop:
No they not. They caved after Barrymore caved.

Which is why it's important stars as big as Barrymore get in line with the strike. Someone on Era was bytching because Barrymore was being "attacked" for working during the strike. They were whining about Barrymore getting more heat/criticism than Hudson. "let's see if Hudson gets the same amount of pushback as Drew"

Like do you not understand there are levels to this shyt and Barrymore is way more popular and has a higher status compared to Hudson? :dahell:
