I think we should be past the point where Green is knocked for his size. Like its directly due to his ability to defend the post at a high level that your teams small ball lineup is so dominant. They remain great defensively b/c he compensates for a lack of height so well, and has a team that can help him on tough assignments if need be.

I'm not knocking him for his size. I just don't think he's capable of even slowing down the most prolific scorer in history. If Kareem was going against Wilt, Parrish, and Russell I don't believe under any circumstances he's going to have problems with Draymond Green. Just because he's effective against Dwight Howard (he's an offensive midget) or D'andre (again offensive midget) or Ibaka (jump shooting big) in the post doesn't mean he's going to give Cap any trouble especially when Boogie would give Draymond fits

Only thing Rodman has on him is rebounding. :manny:
Breh no offense since you ride with the Knicks, but you were 2 years old when Rodman was on the bulls. That rodman was past his prime and was still getting under the skin of a brolic Karl Malone.

He would shut Green down on offense if we are talking 1 on 1.

Green gets maybe 3 rebounds compared to rodmans 20 if matching up against each other on teams.

I mean they had their best SRS (point differential + strength of schedule) and offensive success that year too. There's a lot more than just wins that suggests it was their best year, plus its Magic's best season as he took on a more assertive offensive role and lowered his usually terrible turnover rate to a more respectable level.

Yeah Kareem could score on anybody, but there are team concepts that you can use to make his job harder or force the ball out of his hands. Green would do his job as the primary defender by being a brick wall not ceeding post position, using his quick hands to create turnovers, helping to make routine post entry passes difficult while another Warrior would be in the vicinity prepared to give help.

Anybody saying Draymond can guard Kareem has obviously forgot what true centers like Kareem, Shaq, Olajuwon, and Wilt were about on that block. All time great HOF centers like Parrish, David Robinson, Ewing and Bill Russell wasn't shutting these guys down or stopping them. So why is Draymond Green :comeon: the guy that's gonna stop or "guard" the NBA's all time leading scorer Kareem?

Becuz like someone said anyone can "guard" anyone but that don't mean the defender is being effective or isn't getting torched. Draymond would get that work from Kareem just like the other 7 footers did throughout his 20 year career.

Are you looking at this from a team defensive prospective? Like its not Green guarding Cap on an island with no help, he's pretty much going to be trying to score against two players on every possession and there will be moments where he gets stripped b/c of Draymond's active hands or flat out misses b/c dude didn't shoot 100% on sky hooks.

I've seen Dray guard Cousins pretty well btw, in your last game against the Kings they tried to force that matchup in the 4th and he didn't find success
breh you a joke monitor? cause in relation to this you coming off like one..especially on the coli you can acknowledge greatness and still joke on them, not mutually exclusive

I don't really think those are jokes, but an actual dislike for the team itself. Whenever you root against a team or player its hard to fully appreciate and put into perspective just how great they are.

Call marginal roleplayers Hall of Famers, brehs :dead:

So Draymond Green is a marginal roleplayer. What does that make Dennis Rodman?

Anybody saying Draymond can guard Kareem has obviously forgot what true centers like Kareem, Shaq, Olajuwon, and Wilt were about on that block. First you need to acknowledge that Green is a great post defender regardless of size. Just because he's not 7 foot doesn't mean he isn't strong as hell w/ a seven foot wingspan that can bother post up players (forces a turnover on 14% of defended post up possessions). No one is going to truly contest Kareem's sky hook to begin with, but what you can do is make it difficult for him to get the ball to begin with or force it out of his hands. That's a lot easier in todays game with the illegal defense rules being lifted, they would double him before the ball even gets there and force someone else to beat them.

This has never been about just Green Vs Kareem and thats why OP's quote is so misleading as I've gone into deep detail about the Warriors as a team defending him. This is Green as the primary defender + him receiving a ton of help from his teammates who are all a part of one of the best defenses in the league in the past two seasons.

Something else you're neglecting is what Kareem we're getting here. If this is the showtime Lakers at their greatest success, 1987 where they won 65 games with an all time great offensive season + their highest SRS (point differential + strength of schedule), he was 39 years old and not the player that you're imagining right now.

how is draymon going to make it difficult for kareem to get the ball @Consumed

Green is 6'6, cap is 7'2, unless he has a broom a simple lob over the top will get kareem a dunk. Those other midgets on the court (compared to kareem) aren't going to be able to do a damn thing.

Kareem has an 8inch height advantage over this man and you talking about making it tough?

imagine you posting up your 8 year son who's 5ft, vs you being 6ft and see how that goes for him

Come on now breh. Draymond is the best defensive player we have ever seen. Dude could lock up prime Moses Malone, prime Shaq, Prime Hakeem, Prime Wilt and Prime Duncan.:troll:

Oh and don't forget that Curry is better than MJ ever was. Klay also better than Kobe, Wade, Drexler and Jerry West.:troll:
