Not a Warriors fan, just have an extreme appreciation for the team b/c they're one of the greatest I've ever seen and currently have a player with a peak greater than any point guard I've seen. I'm not a hating ass bytch like 70% of this forum (i.e WARRIORS LOST FREE DAPS/REPS!!!!) and will give props to anyone that plays at a level beyond my expectations. Draymond Green is a phenomenal player, literally one of the most unique this game has ever seen, and its a shame that so many fail to appreciate just how great he is.

And if you look back at the original thread, here http://www.thecoli.com/threads/magi...d-blow-out-the-current-warriors.400282/page-2, my initial point was that Kareem wouldn't have the advantage on the Warriors that so many seem to think. He would get exploited on the other end of the court when the team goes small and isn't gonna average 40-50 (actual predictions by people in that thread) against that strong of a defense. Saying that Green could guard him is not to say that he'd shut down Cap, but that he and the Warriors are equipped to defend him. Doesn't mean he still wouldn't have a very good series.

The disrespect. SMH. Not even a Lakers fan. Stupid golden state fakkits. Be good for a year and a half and win a title against a injured cavs squad and pop shyt brehs.

There is nothing disrespectful about this whatsoever. You are taking this to mean Cap would be shut down, I'm saying he'd have a guy assigned to him that would play great defense and have a supporting cast that would help with the assignment. Defending superstars is a TEAM concept, this is not a game of 1on1 basketball especially in the current era.

Well people have already claimed he was better than rodman whos a hof.... So.....

:laff:

Green is gonna be a hall of famer. This doesn't make any sense. And since when has the basketball, not NBA, hall of fame meant shyt you see some of the guys in there?

Hey....hey....that shyt ain't coming from all of us. Most of us that know some shyt about shyt ain't gonna believe Draymond, who got dusted up by Aldridge, is gonna stop the man that scored the most points in the history of the NBA and has the most unguardable shot ever. Those types of goofiness are coming from hanger ons and frontrunners.

Who said stop. You don't stop the greatest scorer in league history, this is about being in position to guard Kareem and doing all you can to make his job as difficult as possible. Fronting, being a brick wall as he's trying to establish post position, poking the ball away as he tries to dribble in the post and swarming him before the ball even gets there. Kareem was a very willing passer outside the post and the Lakers ran offense through him, you could make him give the ball up and thats what the Warriors would do. This isn't as unimaginable as ya'll make it seem

Of course he could guard Kareem. They're both on an NBA court.

doesn't mean he'd have a snowballs chance at stopping him,:mjlol: but sure he could guard him if assigned.

He could guard him period. Nobody said stop. Too many people in here thinking guarding somebody means you're about to shut them down or some shyt

Wow these Warriors fans are officially worse than the 2010-2013 bandwagon Heat fans. Heat fans, I forgive ya'll :wow:

You need the read the original thread rather than pull a quote months after the initial discussion.

Draymond Green is getting overrated to the point in where I am starting to question if people already consider him a hall of famer

Its the exact opposite. All this focus of whether or not he could be the option 1 or 2 on a contender rather than his ability to be the best defender on a title winner + a strong offensive contributor makes him underrated. People hate this dude and its driving their opinions on him.

Kareem is a top 3 player of all time. Six time champion, six time MVP, and has the most points of all time. The accolades are never ending. What is Draymond Green? A soon to be one time defensive player of the year and one time champion? :heh:

Well nobody is saying Draymond is better than Kareem all time so I don't know why any of this is relevant. And realize that if we're pitting these two teams against one another in their respective peaks, Kareem was 39 years old in 1987 when the Lakers reached their highest win total of the showtime era and had lost a step from his previous campaigns.

The three accolades I brought up all had to do with his ability to score on EVERYONE and ANYONE. Not to mention he was a great defensive player in his younger years.

Having the highest win total =/= isn't their peaks. :yeshrug:

You just posted that Kareem was at his peak at 39 years old.
