BINGO!!!!!!!
Black women who date out and actually want to find a White man are actually encouraged to be "Pick Me's" by other Black Women in order to secure that White man of their desire. I saw a Kristlyn Karazin vid(the lady who invented the term "swirling") when she talked about how some Black Women want certain White men, but aren't willing to fix themselves to get that man. She talked about this one sista who emailed her about wanting an athletic musclebound White Man, and Krisylen was like "Yeahh, but do you see yourelf? You're a little overweight. This dude dedicates his life to fitness and The Gym, and you don't".
Even though Kris was right in theory, she would never tell a BW who was overweight to lose weight in order to get a BM with an athletic physique. She'd be labeled a "Pick Me" if she did so. She'd would tell BW who wanted a BM in that same scenario, to date out and find men regardless of race, that appreciates her instead of changing herself for a BM who can't see her inner beauty.
Underrated post.
As to the subject at hand, I don't think a 'pick me' can sustain a real relationship if she doesn't truly believe in the things she says. Just on the same token a man is not going to keep a woman if he's just being what she thinks he should be because at some point the facade will wear off and that partner will snap.
