This level of mental illness is astounding lol.

The NBA experienced their modern ratings peak from the 2011-2018 period where Bron was in his prime and a consistent contender, with 2016G7 between Cavs-Warriors being the most watched game since Bulls-Jazz 98, and the only game in nearly 2 decades to do over 30m viewers. Every finals Bron was in from 2010 onwards was a ratings goldmine, excluding the bubble, where all sports took huge ratings dips due to Covid.

LeBron is finally showing signs of decline and his championship window is likely shut and now the ratings are declining. And somehow your dumbass conclusion is that he’s the reason they’re struggling. You claim if he leaves it’ll go back up, but he’s already no longer “the guy” and everyone can see that and the ratings are the worst they’ve been in quite some time.

Drink bleach fakkit

Basically the league has to find the next Bron or a new the face of the league:yeshrug: simple as that

It’s so painfully obvious that there is a huge subset of users on this forum that are cosplaying as black. There’s like 10 “I hate the NBA/league is dying” threads on page 1 and some of you dudes seem a little too giddy to see the ratings down. We have a fukking mod and several other posters literally linking articles from right wing racist websites to prove their point that the league is cooked.

I’ve never met a black person irl who talks the way nikkas on the coli do. I’ve seen nikkas say they don’t like the overemphasis on the 3 ball and things like that but kekeing with joy over the fact that the only unapologetically black sports league in America is facing a down period is extremely odd and I’ve only seen cacs move that way. All this shyt is funny to me lol.
You sound dumb as shyt.

None of these gimmicks are going to entice people to watch.

They need to get away from these 4 quarter 3 point shootouts and embrace different play styles like the game used to have.
Bring back the mid range game and post play. Shorten the season.

They won't do any of these things so the game is going to keep declining.
What makes you think the game is declining? What makes you think more mid-range play and post play will make folks watch it?

Jokic plays in the post and shoots middies, how come y'all don't rally around him as y'all savior? How come y'all don't talk about him keeping the game alive?
I think less games can solve a lot of consumer disdain for the regular season. Playoffs have expanded so the current # of games arent that necessary besides the bread of course.

The constant playcall for 3’s, contested ones at that, is a really bad product.
What teams playcall for contested 3s? The majority of 3s that the average-player takes are open ones.

By that same token, midrange shots are more contested than 3s are (due to the proximity of where a defender can be), so are you saying that if they went back to more midrange shots, you wouldn't have a problem with players taking contested ones?

Some of y’all so called NBA “fans” are the worst.

All y’all do is hate, whine and complain
:mjlol:

NFL be having hella garbage games and NFL fans dont complain. Same with MLB.

I watch all 3 leagues so I know.
They're the bytches of TheColi. They don't really like hoops, they just want to relive their childhoods.

Just reading the room...
:jbhmm:

This just came to me, so follow me.

There seems to be a distain for the NBA, topic and thread after thread about viewership declining. Interest is not there, the level of competition isn't matching what people (casuals for the most part) want.

Let's say the NBA took a page out of MLB's rulebook and made big changes to how the game is played. MLB recently brought in the pitch clock, new Extra Inning rules and are now exploring being able to pinch hit anyone on your roster at any time for the sake of spicing things up.

Would the NBA benefit from thinking outside the box and adding some changes that could drastically change how the game is even approached?
The NBA has done this, multiple times, from the all star game, to the Play-in to the in season tourney. The problem is nikkas hate everything and it doesn't really matter what changes are made. Everyone is partial to the era they grew up in. The nostalgia won't allow them to enjoy something new.
