Nah. Just by being in a predominantly white country, you can't make those comparisons. CC is just starting her WNBA career and hasn't really won anything in the same equivalence as a Tiger or a Venus in their respective sports. CC is getting major deals already, she has most of the nation behind her, and the RULING establishment that she plays for is still run by white people. That's not comparable to Tiger and the Williams Sisters. Even the "hate" angle is the easiest angle to use to get people talking and to generate clicks. Nobody gave a shyt about SS opinions on things UNTIL she said things about CC. The opposing teams merely playing tough and strategic defense on her, sparks outrage and gets people talking. Which is funny, considering when Angel Reese is also getting her ass clobbered by the OG's, no one seems to feel bad for her or care. The closest thing to Williams sisters/tiger is that alot of conservative white ppl see themselves in her same way black ppl saw themselves in Tiger/Williams sisters. But otherwise, alot of this is White ppl getting rabid behind their girl, and ALOT of Black Men playing contrarian because the demographic on the "opposing side" of Caitlyn Clark are Black Women. So it's EASY to go with the "Bitter Black women" trope. Black men hated on Jokic, Bird, the European takeover(Arenas in particular hated) but then will say: "Why are you guys hating on the white girl?!? It's just hoops! Stop making this political and racial!!"

Clark is a good player, but I'm not shytting on Sheryl Swoopes, who accomplished much success such as being a 3× MVP, 4× champion, 6× all-star, 3× DPOY, 2× scoring champ, 3× Olympic gold medalist, along with many more WNBA and collegiate accolades, stuff that Caitlin can only dream of doing in her career if she has even had that kind of longevity.

If Caitlin was black, she'd just be another great WNBA player among the others, and sadly nobody would care. The same people getting all tight and defensive for Caitlin in this thread wouldn't have that same energy, let alone even care about the league in the first place, if she was Black. A lot of people don't want to acknowledge or admit it, but it's true. It doesn't take away from her greatness, but right now, she has that Larry Bird, Nikola Jokic, etc. “great white hope” energy behind her.

Swoopes is a winner with a hall-of-fame career/legacy while Caitlin is unproven with nothing on her resume outside of a few collegiate records and NCCA tournament losses. Sheryl isn't hating, people just don't want to hear the truth because of their biased stanning.

No she hasn’t. She’s been crowned too early. None of her fans are looking at her season and positioning in perspective. Even down to the crying that she got snubbed for the US Olympic team. It’s one thing to think someone is a great player and a future HoFer, it’s another to be delusional and to demand everyone else be delusional less they be labeled “bitter” “jealous” and “anti-white”.
