This nikka and his pretentious ass. You ain't got nothing but stupid shyt to contribute to this thread then keep it moving.

No. I'm bored and I was listening to The Chronic like I always do at least once every couple of weeks and made the thread.

Got anymore stupid comments to make?

just as influential for this generation

Nah dude:jbhmm:

While the album was dope as hell (Still is), it didn't usher in this generation quite like this album:

This shyt felt like the voice of the disgruntled 90s/2000 kids that needed a change from what was already out. When this drop, so did meme culture, weird sounding effects on albums, and folks not pulling back on saying the most ridiculous shyt on the album.

Since we on the concept that The Chronic really didn't influence a lot of producers...here's an article with some of the current top producers discussing how Dre influenced their sound...particularly The Chronic album.

7 Producers On Dr. Dre’s Influence And Compton

  • DJ Premier:ohhh:
  • DJ Dahi:dwillhuh:
  • Southside:jbhmm:
  • IamSu!:manny:
  • Tommy Brown:yeshrug:
  • Esta:ehh:
  • Sounwave:blessed:

So yeah...The Chronic is a huge deal on the level of music production. The fact that there are few and between albums that actually followed the same formula, its understandable why the album is constantly getting props.
