Obviously different circumstances, but for posters who keep saying that there is no self defense argument, check out the story of this acquittal. This dude was on trial for shooting that rapper Dolla years ago. His case was way more flimsy than the Hayes one and he still got off:

Surveillance video appears to show a Mercedes SUV rear-ending a Hummer a few blocks from where former Saints player Will Smith was killed.



Thomson said Racquel Smith and another woman passenger in Smith's SUV got out and attempted to "defuse" the situation.
