Does anyone really believe this trash? I'm sure Mario number 372 is a lot of fun, and Zelda 54 part 2 HD remake is a blast, but would you really want to play these games over. BF4, 2k, Forza, killzone,ect.

Seems like reviewers just like to repeat each other like any other Internet forum warriors. I'm sure Mario is fun, but there definitely is nothing groundbreaking about the game. Plenty of X1/PS4 games lost a lot of points for not being groundbreaking yet Mario is praised for it.

ps4 or xbox one can come out with the most unfukwittable game ever made but it still won't outscore most mario games or even OOT on 64

I'm not challenging the ratings of the wii u games. I'm challenging the notion that the wii u is the best option for gaming this Christmas.

If you only had an xbox1 or ps4 you would be just fine.
But if you just had a wii u?
That new mario looks fun as hell but its the same gameplay mechanics since the 64, only now its a bunch of random masses of platform obstacle courses.
Zelda should be way more advanced than the shyt its become. Dark souls made me never wanna touch a zelda game again.

What I do think about reviews is that the scores are too closely related to the reviewers emotions/opinion. Which are subject to hype and expectations from readers.
I wish the scores had more to do with the technical acheivments of the devs.

it might not be the best option for you but it's the best option for all the little children in the world then the thing you nikkas need to realize is we're grown now yes some of us still play mario/zelda/dk games but for you nikkas that's hatin nintendo obviously isnt your cup of tea anymore so why do you guys feel some type of way if people say the wii u or whatever system that isnt YOUR preference is the best option for christmas ? just like you dont give 2 shyts about the wii/wii u there's people out there that don't give two shyts about ps3/ps4/ xbox360/xbox one just let it go b
It's not about getting higher scores. It's about un balanced expectations.
Like you said COD, NFS, ect are all the same game with new wrinkles on top, and I agree.
But Mario and other Nintendo games fit the same bill. Why do they get praised for it, while other games are bashed?
I never said I didn't like Mario, or that the wii us isn't a good option. I don't hate Nintendo, and i'd love to play the new Mario game.
I was just addressing the countless articles that kelp saying "don't buy a PS4/X1, the wii u is the best option"
I think that is false. They all offer things unique to themselves and wii u getting one Mario game doesn't automatically boost it passed the X1/PS4

I said games are reviewed very differently, and some games get passes where others get bashed. And this goes for all games. Halo will score above an 8 regardless of how much the game is an improvement over the last. Every mainline mario game that drops is totally different from the last one. You telling me Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy was one in the same?? Hell there were enough new content in SMG2 compared to 1 that made it fresh. You just seem mad that people aren't lauding Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3 in this thread. Wii U + Gaming PC = win
In all honesty, I've been playing the new Mario game since Friday. I've been playing it with adults, my kid, my nephews and nieces and it is a very fun, entertaining, and beautiful game.
As far as BF4 goes, I have a $1000+ PC right now and I'm getting a new graphics card ($~550) this month. I will be feasting.
I don't really care for console exclusives besides Nintendo exclusives. I'll miss games like Red Dead Redemption but that's about it. The next two games that caught my eye are both coming to PC (Titanfall and The Division) so I'm good.
Then you got a new Zelda, a new Mario, Super Smash Bros, Metroid and much more coming from Nintendo next year.

I love BF4, but if you think Mario/Zelda is rehashed and BF4 isn't, I don't know what to even say to that nonsense. The basics of a FPS have remained mostly the same since the mid 90s. Games like Ocarina of Time and Super Mario Galaxy were revolutionary games.
Yes they are the same, in the same way that DR3 is the same as 2
You are platforming through differnt levels trying to make it to the end. The levels are set up differently and you get different powers, but ultimately you are doing the same damn thing.
In DR3 the world is set up differently and you get different powers that change the gameplay.
How is one so fresh and new, but the other isn't?
The basics of those Nintendo games have stayed the same for even longer. And I never said bf4 was not a rehash. I said they are all rehashes.
