furthermore the 70s is the decade which birthed the culture of modern thug culture(including gangsta rap) which pervades the black community today...while gangsta rap hadn't emerged yet the same glorification of of ignorance and criminality so prevalent gangsta rap was still promoted to blacks though more so via blaxploitation films(such as" The Mack," Black Ceaser, " "Black Godfather,"etc) which promoted thugs whom preyed on their own community as heros

1) being poor does not excuse the savage depraved epidemic of black on black genocide waged by the street gangs in that city whom sure judging by their latest fashions and vehicles are eating very well off the drug trade/not exactly starving
2)adding to my last point one of Chicago's most notorious/violent gang infested neighborhoods(Englewood) looks comfortably middle class
