In addition to getting your Sec+ also learn Linux. Most people in IT don't know Linux. If you want to stand out, learn Linux at least the basics. I would also recommend to know the basics of cloud computing, preferably AWS.I'm currently studying Sec+ and it seems to be straightforward especially compared to A+ and Network+.
