Well this is messed up for them. But did they honestly believe when all this talk about sequestration was about other people and not specifically the government. If they have a problem with it they can just write their dumb ass Congressmen about it. I don't know why they thought they were special anyway. As if the government gives a flying fukk about your service. Be happy you are getting medical benefits from the VA.

So they're just allowed to renege on contracted benefits (without even giving a decent notice to prepare members)....but let a military member go "AWOL" for a couple hours and they're ready to throw you in jail. Can't wait to be free in a couple months.

The petition needs 100,000 signatures by April 7th before it is even looked at. Right now it is at about 30,000.

I personally think thats the worst part. in my 3 years the first time I heard about this at all was last week. no warning at all.

I think we need to take care of our military personnel and this whole sequester thing is stupid. But on the flip side the military is too big, and to be honest a lot of people join for the wrong reasons. If we spent the money we did on the military on training and job placement think how much stronger the country would be.

Too big? Breh I have like 5 jobs that are not in my duty title. My flight used to have over 90 people. Now we have less than 30. The work is still there but I'm doing more of it. Not only that, I have to be proficient in every duty that I have. I can't ask for a raise or quit. There are no labor laws stopping me from work 18 hour days in theater. We've been making cuts for years and doing more with less.
