I agree with this and I'm ex Army...I look on FB & Twitter and some of my friends still in and
...I'm cool with several people who deal with the TA situation and it's a lot of fukkin fake outrage out there...only 30-37% of ALL ACTIVE DUTY even uses TA so its a lot of soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, etc. out here frontin...hell just 2-3 years ago they were talking about taking it away because the money was best used elsewhere cause cats weren't using it...where was the outrage then? and the sequester didn't cut TA, the individual services cut it as a way to move monies from one program to make it up in another
Dog thats still 40% of the military which is millions of people. Nevermind the cats who are reserves who use that shyt.

I gotcha but a lot of states also offer TA to their reservist/ National Guard on top of the ones that just offer free schooling. Some services even offer it to their civilians (I know the coast guard does) so some civilians are taking a hit but nowhere in comparison to those in uniforms. Uniform still have the option of using their GI Bill which they'll also get money for books. Some folks are acting like if they use six months of it that will prevent their dependent who they passed or think about passing it off too won't be able to get a education....
