WHY is/was Edge better overall than Christian?

I've said before that If not for the curtain call Austin might of not had his big standout moment during King of the Ring.

It's not a knock against Edge if someone points out that he was struggling as a face before he broke out. As I said in my previous post Edge made the most of the opportunities that presented themselves. Main difference between him and Christian is Edge was never buried for any reason....Worst thing done to Edge during his run was he turned into a mid carder for awhile because the main event was being dominated by Cena and HHH.

The only times Edge has been more over than Jeff in WWE was when Jeff wasn't even in WWE.

Just because Edge dropped the world title to Jeff doesn't mean he put him over. Jeff was already crazy over by that point (and had been for years).

As for Cena being relevant he was already being booked as the biggest star in the company for a year before Edge even made it to the main event.

I'd argue Edge didn't even put over CM Punk that much. He just dropped the title to him. If anybody put over CM Punk it was Jeff Hardy.

Just because they were on the same spot on the card doesn't mean they were both equally over. Jeff Hardy has been over big as a face since the early 2000's and as I said the only times Edge has been more over than Jeff was when Jeff was MIA.

Saying Edge put over Jeff by dropping the title to him is like saying HHH put over Hogan by dropping the title to him even though Hogan was already over and more popular than HHH.


Edge giving Cena the best feud of his career isn't Edge putting him over. Like it or not Cena was the biggest star in the company at that time and for all the talk of how hated he was his merchandise was selling like crazy and people were paying money to see him.

At Christian's peak, he was superior to Edge as a character, and in ring.

Edge had one thing over him, size. That's it. If Christian was 4 inches taller, he would have been pushed to the moon. Edge has always been corny as hell to me, he's the epitome of cookie cutter/generic.

Christian right before he went to TNA was arguably the most entertaining wrestler in the world, and he was over.

initial Rated R Superstar run was way better than anything Christian has ever done...and I think Christian has done some great shyt.


and again, I do not give one damn that WWE wanted Edge to succeed. All the shyt they tried with him as a singles wrestler fell flat. It was ultimately a situation that they had nothing to do with and a character they never saw for Edge that got him over. And really, a lot of the E&C stuff was improv between the two of them too. He isn't some Mason Ryan motherfukker - he's all-around talented and finally found a schtick that worked for him. Now crowds go apeshyt when they hear You think you know me...

yea jeff was over with the crowd, but they wanted him to win the world title an he never did up to that point. orton beat him clean at the royal rumble, when jeff was red hot, and most thought he'd never get the title after that.

in comes edge, who did the job for him and punk. putting the young talent over to the next level.

That leak in 09 fukked Christian. He was supposed to comeback with a Jeff Hardy feud, had the arenas chanting for him and shyt at no way out and other ppvs. Then they switched it up and put him on ecw. One or the stupidest moves I've ever seen. Especially considering that it leaked that they were changing the shyt to Matt Hardy. And that feud was trash.
