WHY is/was Edge better overall than Christian?

I liked both Edge and Christian but not over Matt and Jeff Hardy.

I really hated Edge for fukking Lita lmao. That contributed to the rated r superstar gimmick, although I didn’t really care for him as a main eventer. I was already on my way out of watching WWE anyway, shyt was getting so damn corny.

Anyways, Christian was cool but that crybaby gimmick kinda ruined it for me. He was the shyt in TNA, I wish he would’ve got that run in WWE.

I didn’t watch TNA so I can’t judge his run there, but yea I didn’t fukk with singles Christian at any point in time in the ‘E. I liked singles Matt Hardy more than I did him.


Kind of annoyed me too how he had that Captain Charisma gimmick & I always thought he was the opposite of that.

edge, orton, cena and HHH all had a ton of worthless runs.
between that and all the jobbers that they started putting the belt on, i stopped watching the WWE for YEARS.

Christian was far and away a better wrestler than Edge. I always felt i was in the twilight zone from 06-09 reading opinions online of the two as they were both in their singles runs at the time.

You can say this about majority of wrestlers. Its a show. Booking is how most people get over.

Ive had plenty of wrestlers I thought should get more shine but it just didnt happen. Its hard to say if they were really "better" or deserved it more than the guys who did.

I dont think edge or Christian is head and shoulders above the other. Edge just ended up having the better look for wwe and the Matt hardy thing just happened to change his career. At that point things was always gonna be even more difficult for Christian.

Well booking didn't do Christian favors. They tried to make him a loser and Edge a winner. Christian cut through all of that bullshyt and got fukking over.

Both were solid mid-carders but with a bit of storyline buzz had the in-ring chops to hang in the main event scene. Edge has clearly always believed his shyt smelled of roses and Christian seems to have looked up to him/followed him around since they were high school friends. Christian was never gonna leapfrog Edge, even though he was arguably the better, more adaptable and less fragile worker... but it was little brother/beta friend syndrome for him.

Bookers were never gonna buy into Christian if he never fully bought into himself while Edge was around.

I disagree big time. If you watch Christian Cage, he clearly believed in himself. His wwe booking was trash. 2011 was the perfect time for him and they booked him as a winey little bytch instead of the of the cocky heel he should've been.
