nope if you look at his entire body of work, he's rightfully a hall of famer, even as a tag team with christian.

Christian was the dude who took a hot minute to get off to a good start. Edge was over til he went down w/ the injury and came back as Ultimate Warrior-Lite in '04.
don't even ask me how on the Christian/Michaels.
Edge's heel run legitimately made me mad, at how brilliant the booking was during his reign. How he just slap Kofi and took his spot in the Elimination Chamber was some cism, but a great bit

I liked Edge during his 2001-2002 run, had some great matches with eddie and kurt. thought he should have turned heel on Hogan during their tag team run, unfortunately his return from injury as a babyface flopped. with that said, I never saw christian as a legit maineventer

Yeah, a lot of people forgot how much Edge was struggling when he came back from his injury. Dude flopped HARD as a face and was getting booed in his matches.
Some of that was due to Matt Hardy crying like a bytch on the internet but some of it was just that people were sick of Edge. If not for him fukking Lita and cashing in MITB on Cena I don't think Edge would have been as big of a star as he was, but to his credit when he had opportunities he made the most of them.
Christian on the other hand made the most of his opportunities and was punished severely for it. He got himself over without any twitter or youtube rants and got buried because it. He stepped up his game on the mic AND in the ring.

At Christian's peak, he was superior to Edge as a character, and in ring.
Edge had one thing over him, size. That's it. If Christian was 4 inches taller, he would have been pushed to the moon. Edge has always been corny as hell to me, he's the epitome of cookie cutter/generic.
Christian right before he went to TNA was arguably the most entertaining wrestler in the world, and he was over.

"If" didn't happen, all we got is the reality. And the reality says Edge was over. Whatever way it went down, it happened. Maybe Christian shoulda fukked Lita, and maybe it woulda happened for him, but we'll never know.

This has been a solid convo IMO. I certainly don't want to shyt on Edge or his accomplishments to just big up Christian. Edge maximized every break he got, cant be mad at that, I just think Christian has done well with what he was given but yet I will always wonder what he coulda done with the full green light Edge got because outside of being a "spin off" character originally I personally can't see what major "it" factor Edge had over him.

I've said before that If not for the curtain call Austin might of not had his big standout moment during King of the Ring.
It's not a knock against Edge if someone points out that he was struggling as a face before he broke out. As I said in my previous post Edge made the most of the opportunities that presented themselves. Main difference between him and Christian is Edge was never buried for any reason....Worst thing done to Edge during his run was he turned into a mid carder for awhile because the main event was being dominated by Cena and HHH.
