"I love this shyt" was Alsina's biggest RADIO hit, but his entire album and mixtapes been hot and doesn't even need a rapper on most of his tracks. Most of his shyt is about his life (kinda like Lyfe) and not even about love/romance
And then the Dream just dropped a hot mixtape too... How you gonna say RnB dead when you listen to the radio for your source of RnB music

I guess John Legend doesn't count since he's "old" but dude had the number 1 song in the country and been on the charts for 47 weeks with a ballad about his wife in 2014. "All of Me" was so popular that they sped it up to make a dance track out of it for the dance/pop stations. I only listen to Sirius but I'm pretty sure all the major cities have adult/contemporary R&B stations that are pretty popular. I think Kiss FM might be the number 1 station in NYC or close to it. Just turn to whatever stations the Steve Harvey and/or Tom Joyner show broadcast on (not the Hot 97 clones), those stations play plenty of R&B with a good mixture of old and new

Its out there, you just need to turn off the radio. I haven't listened to the radio stations where I live in years for music.
Babyface and Toni Braxton did an album together recently that was flames.
Eric Bellinger is MAD slept on.
Trey songz has a lot of good R&B tracks on his albums/mixtapes that don't make it to the airwaves, including the album he just did.
Never got into that "Neo-Soul' era because there was plenty of good R&B artists not dubbed that, thankfully.
Maxwell still cranking out classics. Need to get on his most recent work .
