Why Is Prodigy So Much More "Celebrated" Than Havoc?

I don't even think prodigy was that much of a better lyricist than havoc tbh.

And when you factor in that havoc was producing their shyt as well as a rapping, i think its safe to say havoc was more important to mobb.

P was better than Havoc lyrically after Juvenile Hell and before Infamy. P's appeal was also in his delivery and voice.

Prodigy was nicer in their prime but after MM Havoc got better while P got worse.

This is also how I feel about The Clipse. Malice lyrically outdid Pusha on just about all their work but people like Pusha more.
This is a bad comparison imo.

Prodigy and Havoc are very similar types of MC, right down to subject matter. On the mic P did everything Hav did but better. Content, choice of words, stories, flow, voice, delivery, phrases, charsima, vivid pictures all of that.

Pusha & Malice are different. Pusha concerned with wordplay, flows, charisma. Pusha is the arrogant drug dealer who loves the game. Mal is that drug dealer that has nightmares that he's going to Hell because of what he's doing (literally). Because he's conveying more complex types of emotions and messages the rhymes are more basic as is the flow. The Ying and the Yang. There's no Ying & Yang to Mobb Deep music but the picture they painted (Hav's production, P's raps mostly) was some LSD staring at art shyt.

I think what also shaped the perception of P is that he got a hov co sign early, and was sometimes featured dolo without havoc

im a Jay stan. Jay has nothing to do with anything Prodigy at all. P was thought of more in 95', when my niqqa jay was labeled a sidekick
