Prodigy was clearly better rapper until Infamy came out.
Do you think Hav has anything in his solo catalog touchin HNIC 1?
Prodigy was clearly better rapper until Infamy came out.
You should probably listen to their full catalog. Early albums, very few people in the game were seeing P, period. He was so creative, so vivid, so full of energy. The tide turned around Infamy.
I agree. Especially in the 2nd half of Mobb Deep's catalougue. Hav has been a better rapper than Prodigy for over 10 years now.
This is also how I feel about The Clipse. Malice lyrically outdid Pusha on just about all their work but people like Pusha more.
Yup. Prodigy was one of the most believable rappers EVER...until he took a string of Ls that ruined his mystique. Also, the sickle cell fukked up his delivery and he started sounding lazy on the mic.P Painted a picture and had the attitude to go along with it...
From the way he flowed to the shyt he said, he had the i dont give a fukk vibe down pat...
Havoc was cool, but P came off as a fukked up nikka who just came off a coke binge...It was just raw
I think Pusha T as liked more because he was more relatable. Malice shyt has always been super deep and reflective and the average listener isn't trying to think that deeply when listening to music.Malice has ALWAYS been better to me than Push. Both dope but Malice paints better pictures and is more descriptive and vivid imo

People forget their used to be debates about who was the better QB rapper, Nas or Prodigy.
Dude was that nice.
Murda Muzik was when i 1st got into Mobb Deep. Havent really heard much before that album
I think he talks about it in his book or in an interview somewhere.Funny i never thought about that being the reason even tho i knew he struggled with it. I just always felt that especially during Infamy he started sounding really lazy like you said.
When he hears The Infamous and Hell on Earth he will understand why people thought Prodigy was so ill.Wait, what?! I personally love Murda Muzik, but how have you not heard their other albums? That's blasphemy. At least Infamous & Hell On Earth, certified classics.
And even P's 1st solo joint is a classic. You buggin. That's your homework for next week, son lol
This is a great analogyMore unique delivery I guess?
The same reason why everyone bigs up Andre3k even tho Big Boi holds his own
