bro literally everything you listed that he created existed long before he got into the fashion game. Stop it. Rick James wearing leather joggers in the eighties. Distressed jeans? You gotta be kidding me bro

and you can't even give him credit for bringing that stuff back. most of that stuff was already in play before he put his stamp on it. Just like with his music. He jumps on other people's waves. Just like he did with Yeezus

don't speak on things you don't know about:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

I was just about to say that lol. Kanye made distressed jeans :mjlol:

He was fine before he wanted to be a cac. He changed the way young black american dress and he could have taken advantage of that, prolly made billions. Hip-hop culture is just as if not more influential than Europeans stuff. Should have ruled over black fashion instead of being a c00n for white fashion.

He trying too hard with the cloths, and the crazy thing is, he still has the juice. If he dropped a yeezy jean line that were similar to Trus look and price wise he would sell out.

I didnt say he invented anything. He influences the fashion game. LV, Balmain all Copy what Ye does.

And I forget about he started the distressed T-shirts trend.

Show me Rick James wearing leather joggers?

I'm not a fashion guy at all but one thing I've noticed is that major designers use stars or high profile models to build their brand behind. Kanye tried to use himself from what I see. I could be wrong though.

I just assumed he sold all his shot to other celebs and athletes, since they are most likelY the only ones who can afford his asking price.

High fashion in general is too much of a niche market. Yes, he can sell out of of a "limited" supplies of items, but it can still be a failure if you don't break even on how much it took to make them. Really, if he wants to do high fashion, he should at least have a more accessible line to fund his dream.

That said, his clothes are highly overpriced and trash, and he doesn't have an eye for women's clothing.
Yea, Ye doesn't have an eye for women's clothing. He has an eye for what he wants to see women in, but not what women would actually be interested in wearing.

Like, I've had tons of women ask me "why don't I do a womens line?" And I definitely want to. But rather than taking the designs for the mens line and putting them on women's clothing, I want to make designs that are kind of anti-men, so to speak.

One of these ideas is a shirt that has printed in small font "if you stare at this any longer, I might have to gouge your fukking eyes out."
Stuff that makes women feel powerful and not to be fukked with...you know?

2 of my 3 sons wearing that distressed, Kanye hole shirt.

But they get em from Pacsun and shyt. Have no clue what brand. It aint Ye.

But its affordable and thats what matters to a teenager.
That sounds like Jerry Lorenzo's "FOG" fear of god diffusion line. That was in Pac sun.
Yeezy also had merch for sale there.

1. He isn't a threat, he is domesticated by Kim.
2. Lo-Lifes made it popular in the hood to wear that ish though. You seen it nowhere until those brothers were rocking it.
3. I agree but Kayne is trying to merge and get into business with those who have their brands in high profit. They see that riding their backs to get where they are at.
4. Black People can create their own lane, once they realize their fashion, is the reason people are buying clothes. They wouldn't have to go to some Elitist White Boy who thinks he shyts golden bricks.
I'll be honest. I personally think it was black people who made brands like Polo, Tommy Hillfiger, and Nautica hot. I never fukked with any of those brands until I bought Only Built 4 Cuban Linx in high school.

He kind of is riding coattails, but I don't know if it's him seeking to work with those brands or those brands looking to work with him. I assume Adidas is happy they have him on board cause right now, him and Pharell are their cash cows. They have Raf Simons, Alexander Wang, Yohji Yahamoto, Jeremy Scott and the three former head Nike designers on their staff.

I'm seeing this trend of black people rocking (dare I say it) white fashion. Skate clothes, vans, Nirvana t-shirts, metallica t-shirts, I just think it's a testament to how black people make anything cool. It's almost like back in the day how Ecko, G-Unit, and all them urban brands were mostly worn by white people. Or how white people will rock jordans and stuff. I've even seen random white hipsters rocking doo rags. :dead:
