De La Hoya is the only fighter I’ve seen (in recent memory) who’s ventures seemed to have made an equally as big of an impact as they did when they were at the top of the sport. Definitely been winning off the Golden Boy brand and Mexico will always have a fight culture. I don’t even think he has to do a lot of work to maintain it and seems fluent on the business side of things where he doesn’t have to hire many people to do that.

No hate from me, I always rooted for Floyd, most people did. But let's not front, he flossed and showboated his money so hard and ridiculously that he damn near came off as a villain. Showing money and lavish spending on camera was his marketing plan, image, and persona.
