No he doesn't...cause otherwise he'd have been doing that shyt YEARS ago. He got to a point where he knew he could get away with enough before he started saying that shyt.

There's a line he can't cross and he knows it, and he'll never cross it.
What line is that?

He insulted the biggest stars in the company's history, shyt on the product, said terrible things about the McMahons and Levesque, hoped for Vince's death and made fun of dead/near dead legends for storyline sake.

Only line I can think of is the be a star initiative, they cut his mic when he mentioned it in the pipebomb promo

He couldn't make fruity pebbles jokes and be over, otherwise he would have done it - he doesn't have the delivery. Besides, you're talking about a 40 or so year old wrestler who's been out of the game for nearly a decade. That fruity pebbles/popcorn fart shyt is outdated because The Rock is no longer connected to the wresting culture or even this current generation. With that said, Punk could never do what The Rock was doing from 1998 - 2001 and then come back for one of the greatest heel runs in 2003. In that same regard, anybody could do what Punk does. Literally anybody.:whew:

Yeah, this sounds like another jilted Rock stan that's mad at CM GAWD for calling him "DWAYNE"

It's not that people think he's good.....he actually IS fairly good and I've never taken that away from him. He rarely (if ever) botches and he speaks fairly confidently and intelligently

The problem is, he's just not that exciting or charismatic on the mic. He gets his point across mind you, and I wouldn't go as far as to say he's "boring" (that would be guys like Bret and Lance Storm, who sometimes did verge on that "boring" sound just by the tone of their voice, even though Bret could sound convincingly angry/confident when he needed to)....but at the same time, he's no Dwayne......he's no Austin......he's no Hogan.....he's no HBK....he's no Jericho.

He doesn't have that delivery that indicates that he's an interesting/exciting character. At best, he just sounds like your average angry white man. Even Cena stands out more than he does in that regard, as wack as a lot of his actual promos are

Yet his stans would have you think that he's one of the GOATs on the mic :rudy:......when he's nowhere near that

That's the problem.....dude is overrated on the mic

I'm not mad, I don't care. Actually, I wanted him to be good from all this shyt that I've read about him. But since you've brought it up, him calling The Rock Dwayne is a perfect example of having an unfair advantage. I'm pretty sure he's the only one that gets away with that. Let me know when he cuts a classic promo without breaking kayfabe. Other than that - nothing he does is impressive. :yeshrug:

Exactly, being a clear speaker is just that - being a clear speaker. He's average in everything else. I don't see any sort of top level charisma or anything special about what he does on the mic. He's just a clear and somewhat articulate speaker with a pass to break kayfabe. :manny:

Breh you have got to be kidding yourself, I got multiple people that don't even care about wrestling that listen up when Punk is on the mic.

My girlfriend, my friend's sister, my buddy who doesnt watch wrestling anymore cause of WWE's :flabbynsick: product will tune in to RAW when we hang out JUST to hear CM Punk.

We LOST it when he said he was God.

I was in a room with like 15 ppl and it ERUPTED when he told The Rock that his arms are too short to box with God.

I got another friend that's studying to be an English teacher, showed her the promo where Punk talks about how he's the only one that can bear the burden of breaking the streak. She was like :ohhh: :wow:

BASICALLY, YOU nikkaS CANNOT BE SERIOUS

Punk's good on the mic because of his conviction. Most in the back dont have it on hte mic. And When he shoots straight to the point and doesn't wander or ramble he's money. with Bret and Cena, contract signing with Vince, early interactions with Trips, the promo recently at the Slammys

Shawn has some of the most boring promos of all time

Beat me to it. I let a lot of boring promos of his slide being a young fan but watching em back on 24/7 was :snooze:

:whoa:
not talking about that night he trolled Canada, stans

First of all, I have it on good authority that your grandma does not like Great Khali.

Second of all, let's take Stone Cold Steve Austin, but instead of surrounding him with Mankind, The Rock, DX, The Ministry and the son of a bytch evil Vince Macmahon in a world infused with violence, swearing, middle fingers, vehicular assault and not giving a fukk.... we put him in tag team matches with Wade Barret and Jack Swagger in a PG world where a wigger rapper turned fake marine is :cape:

By your logic, Stone Cold Steve Austin is just not good.

BE REAL.

Stone Cold would be different in this era but he would be just as popular. You know why? Because he has natural star power that allowed him to become what he was. He was able to think of an original character, something that wasn't copied off of anyone else, no cheap ass shooting promos, no breaking kayfabe. All the catchphrases, the beer truck stunts, the taunts, even the look - all thought of by one man. This is something that Punk is simply not good enough to do or channel. Now let's put CM Punk in the Attitude era, he...wouldn't even be in the WWF. :myman:

Yeah you're right, in any environment or company... Stunning Steve would be drawing millions at the top of the card.

:why: Really? That gimmick was given to him and he did the best he could with it. I guarantee you that if CM Punk was assigned a gimmick that wasn't natural to who he was he would tank completely. He's gotten every break in the book from what I can tell. "Hey, go be straight edge - oh okay cool - I already am". "Eh, that shyt's not working, here is the mic - go break kayfabe since you can't be a draw by having a character, just do what every teenage wrestling fan with a youtube account and a webcam does - cool, gotcha." :why:When Steve Austin took creative control into his own hands he molded himself into a superstar. On the other hand, when CM Punk was GIVEN creative control he resorted to doing cheap shyt to get himself over and even then he could never get himself 1/1000 of the popularity that Stone Cold held in his prime. Tell me this, has CM Punk ever come up with any interesting or original idea that didn't involve him shooting on the politics backstage? :mjpls:
