Why does Shaq get a pass for playing with Kobe?

Name these beasts in the West that Kobe dominated:jbhmm:

Were these dominant guards on the level of Duncan, robinson, KG, Sheed, Malone??

I like how you guys point out shaq playing bums in the east, yet praise kobe for dominating the next best guard in the west, DOUG fukkING CHRISTIE :laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:
Shaq faced Duncan five times from 1999-2004 and the defensive player of the year in the finals twice, yet he was the one playing against stiffs :dead:

A hof player is not a sidekick
A sidekick is a supporting player
A supporting player is a player that might average 12 - 19 ppg per season
A sidekick doesn't average 29 points per game. That's better than 90% of the top players on other teams.

Learn what a supporting player actually is.

Look man you can word it however you want it..bottom line is kobe was the most dominant player against the best competition in the playoffs. Period. No debate.

It isn't a debate, you are right :manny:

Kobe: I Took It As An Honor To Be Shaq's Sidekick

All that BS you typed and Kobe admitted he was sidekick himself :mjlol:

Cliffs:

When asked point blank if he was Shaq’s sidekick during the duo’s time together, Kobe responded, “Yea, for sure.”

I love reading these type of threads. The high ether levels are still present in many of you 7 years later after Kobe went back to back without Shaq.

What HMO plan do you have?:skip:

Ad hominem is a Latin word that means “against the man.” As the name suggests, it is a literary term that involves commenting on or against an opponent, to undermine him instead of his arguments.

Yep ignore the facts and attack me :umad:

Doesn't it say something that the lakers won despite kobe missing basically 2 games and not playing anywhere near his level of play due to injury despite that they still won in 6 games with shaq having three games of 40 plus points

No because they lost game 3 without Kobe. And if not for Kobe's heroics the following game where he took over the game after Shaq got hurt, the Lakers might lose the 2000 NBA.

You must be a young kid if you don't remember that. The 2000 finals contain the first great moment of Kobe's career and the moment most people realized he would be one of the best ever.

His performance at 21 years old in game 4 coming off the severe ankle injury with Shaq fouled out is the stuff of legend.

35 points. Game Winning shot. 3-1 series lead.

Without Kobe having that epic performance Lakers don't win the 2000 NBA title.

Jesus Christ you're stupid. He played 9 minutes and they won game 2 still, Shaq didn't get hurt in game 4, he had 28, not 35, and they lost game 5 because of Kobe going 4-20 for 8 points and they won in spite of his 8-27 shooting in game 6. You're truly the WOAT to end all WOAT's

He fouled out in the 4th quarter of a close game that ultimately went to OT. Kobe took over that game once Shaq fouled out and carried the Lakers to victory. And he hit the game winning shot. If Kobe doesn't take over like he did, it's a 2-2 series and who knows if the Lakers win. But Kobe took over the game and gave the Lakers a decisive 3-1 lead.

Also remember the severe ankle sprain Kobe got should have kept him out for weeks. He was playing hurt that whole series. That is why his numbers declined in games 5 and 6.

Remember when he was fully healthy a round earlier he played better than Shaq in game 7 versus Portland in the game that started the Lakers dynasty.

Kobe played better than Shaq against their toughest opponents. Shaq just beat up on the inferior eastern conference teams.

The go to argument for LeBron dikkheads is that Kobe had Shaq but, that narrative always leaves out the fact that Shaq HAD Kobe. As a teammate.

Jordan had Pippen.
Isiah had Dumars.
Bird had Mchale.
Hakeem had nobody really.

You know many fukking rings Jordan, Bird, Isiah, Hakeem and others would have had if they had Kobe as their teammate :beli: a nikka averaging 27-29 pts per game each season. nikka...imagine Jordan and Kobe in the Bulls backcourt :beli:

No, all them guys had supporting players as their number 2. Guys that were good but not top 10 players.

Shaq though....that fakkit had the 2nd greatest shooting guard to ever play as his teammate yet Shaq gets to get all the praise as if his ass would've won 3 rings with Joe Dumars or Vernon Maxwell as his number 2 :mjlol: Scottie Pippen wouldn't have helped either considering Kobe blazed the Kings, Spurs and Blazers multiple times for 30+ ppg a series and that was way beyond Scottie's capabilities.

nikkas love giving Shaq a pass. All his rings came from being teammates with the 2nd and 3rd best shooting guards in NBA history but no criticism is ever heaved his way for needing all that help to win.
Agreed. If it wasn't for Dwade, Shaq wouldn't have 4 either.
