Why does it feel like Jonathan Kuminga is still being slept on?

Not a warriors guy so I don't know the comments behind the scenes behind what the coaches are saying but it seems to me that they want Kuminga to be able to play the draymond role but he can't, or doesn't. So when he's on the floor it stifles their offense because he's instead playing the wiggins/iguodala role when they already have enough guys who can do that.

Still, I see no reason why he shouldn't be playing over divencenzio who does nothing for this team IMO.
Cenzo definitely add value, he can shoot, handle the ball, pass and dunk pretty good.

I think everything he offers to the team moody can do better if given the opportunity

Meanwhile kuminga offers athleticism, defense and hustle that the warriors are lacking in
All 3 got play during the regular season this year due to injuries and cenzo gave better production during that time than both of them.

He showed he more trustworthy than the other 2. Moody is definitely a value tho. Jk was his blah

Year 3 and Kuminga hasn't broken into the starting rotation. He's also logging just 20 minutes a game.

I don't think he's a bust, however it seems the Warriors are bringing him along very slowly. Kuminga is only 21 years old and if I'm reading his Spotrac page correctly, the Warriors have picked up his option for the 2024-25 season.

Do Warriors fans see Kuminga as a cornerstone piece or a role player?

CP3 will be huge for him this season. If he doesn't produce the whole year with Paul passing him the ball on that 2nd unit then the Warriors would have something to worry about.

He's a cornerstone piece but he still needs to grow. He's in the rotation this year and performing well, still has some growing pains. If he was a 3, there would be some chatter about him taking over Wiggs with his sluggish start. But he's not going to start over draymond at this point.

He’s clearly made the leap but Kerr would rather play a 40 year old 6 foot point guard instead so it is what it is.

He should be starting over Draymond and CP0, but since he can’t throw lobs off a pick and roll he will be on the bench.

Gonna get dumped like Wiseman at the deadline
He's not as much of a disaster as Wiseman (who is just flat out not an NBA player) but he's nothing more than a fring rotation player
Can't shoot
Can't rebound
Solid defender, but not some lockdown elite level guy
Fouls way too much

Just another wing player who can't create their own shot and can't knock down catch and shoot 3's. We see these guys all over the NBA. Jarred Vanderbilt type with more athleticism. Vanderbilt is at least a solid rebounder though.

I know the Coli loves hyping him up though. He still stinks

I don't see much improvement from last year. He shows glimpses of a good player a few times a good, but the shot still ain't there and he still does a lot of dumb shyt on the court.
