Why do so many men not take care of their kids?

I say its this more than anything. People have these fantasy views of what parenthood should be like...married, with the love of their life and the whole nine and when it doesnt fit that mold they dip. Its not the life they wanted.

I can see why you say the bolded, but that's a two-way street as well...

I know some women who have gotten pregnant and perhaps (to your point) realize they don't want to raise their child with that
particular man. Because of that, they limit said mans' access to that child. That doesn't make that man a "bum" or a "deadbeat",
but it does explain why so many men don't have as full a share in child rearing as they would like. There are a lot of men
being kept from their babies.

- One woman I know straight up a dude "I want to raise her by myself - don't even send me money."
- A couple of women dipped out of state and never told the daddies.

I don't even know why I stepped in here, its full of ignorance. People need to make better decisions, yes. Same time both parties are fully responsible and anything else is BS. The kid has half your DNA and if you run out on them you are a sorry human being. Saying a woman should have chosen better doesn't negate responsibility of the man, its a cop out. You don't want a child, don't go raw, use birth control, practice abstinence. If both parties don't do that, they both are responsible for the child.

OAN I know a lot of men who are actually fathers to their children. I know more of them then Deadbeats. I actually don't know a deadbeat I know of some, but guys I know with kids are big in their lives.

Yes, women can make smarter decisions, but that's not an excuse for men not to take responsibility for their children.

Not to derail the thread but I have a question for you: What do you make of the women who seek sperm donors or just wanna have a baby with men that have no interest of being with them?

I have had 2 women ask me to father their children. These are women that were in their early to mid 30s on the "clock ticking" mode. Their approach was "I just want a child, you dont have to be involved". Now, im no pretty boy super model or self-proclaimed "Alpha-male" type. So if i could have females making these proposals to me how do i know that there arent as many other mofos getitng the same from clock ticking females?

Well if she only wants a sperm donor than that's a diff story. If I were a man I don't think I would be cool doing that. It would just seem weird having kids out there that I have no part of their life.

So basically a man that does this I wouldn't look down on but I still think it should be hard to have a kid but not be in their life.

I really don't think doing this is a good thing but oh well

Breh I agree with most of the stuff guys say about how women picking shytty partners. My issue is that we ignore what men aren't doing and focus only on the women who happen to be doing their part

Let's be real. A lot of guys can be bums and they don't raise their kids. They won't do shyt for them. But not every man that has not taken care of his kid is some broke ass man who sits up in some girls house eating up all her food.
