Why can't we get a tough on immigration Democrat like Obama?

Trump literally running on a platform in Project 2025 to dismantle any form of govt policies that are geared towards advancing black people or any other minority group. Literally peeling back all progress since the Civil Rights.

They would even go as far as prosecuting any companies promoting any type of initiatives to boost black employment

A lot of black people in federal jobs would be at high risk of termination

But some y'all think the thing to worry about is some damn immigrants??

LOST :snoop:
Nah buddy wants to dismantle the social security system and the VA disability programs

That affects more white people than Black

I guess white people think it won't affect them

Both are 2 blame
You seem like immigration is your number one issue.

If it is then vote for thump and be done with.

Deal with any anti black blowback and the death of even private charities doing some specific for Black people.

You got to realize what you want Julio dropping fries and the united neuro college fund or no immigrants and no HBCU'?

They'll still be HBCUs but they'll be open enrollment colleges for all working class people

Think university of pheonix

Valid. That's just an entirely different issue. I'm talking specifically on how they plan to kill any diversity equity initiatives or policies. Who gives a damn about some immigrants

Black folks are already underrepresented in a lot of industries. shyt will be 10x worse

What does a closed border look like you think some is watching thousands of miles or desert.

If you could Thanos snap the border closed then how is the fentnyl gonna get in?

Why can't boats the sail up the coast like they do in Europe?

You think every vehicle and boat is getting thoroughly checked?

If millions of people can get into your 1ST WORLD country over a few year span.your border is not closed or secure

x1000 times this.

Besides, H1B denials under Obama were between 5-8%. They were high under Trump, but that didn't lead to better representation in tech for Black people.

Even with high denial rates for H1B visas, Black workers don't automatically benefit because the same structural obstacles remain. With those barriers still in place, tech firms that previously relied on foreign talent don't necessarily pivot to hiring Black professionals, they may instead further consolidate resources, automate tasks, or outsource completely. The real way to truly increase Black representation in tech, is to focus on investments in education, paid internships, leadership pipelines, and robust anti-discrimination measures that ensure equal access to jobs and promotions. The real key to this is systemic reform, not immigration policy, because those underlying barriers will continue to block access unless it's dismantled at the root.

Even the 5-8% would be better than Biden and Kamala who said she wants to raise the annual cap.

Officials at a Congressional hearing cited last year's figure of 26 per cent denial to H1B visa applicants, that was the highest in recent years, and also pointed out instances where the visas were denied for flimsy reasons.

i’m not even referring to that.

the idea that trump, a candidate whose campaign has been unapologetically nativist and steeped in echoes of hitler’s rise, will implement a deportation policy that is beneficial to ADOS is absurd.

:francis:

No it's not. These illegal immigrants threaten the marginal political gains that we won post civil rights movement. They are coming to Black cities to compete with us and we don't need that right now :yeshrug:

of course it’s absurd.

to suggest that trump will properly distinguish between undocumented immigrants and those who are citizens, when he has stated his intention to end natural born citizenship and deport hatian immigrants who are here legally, tells me you aren’t thinking this through.

you’re giving trump a benefit of the doubt he has never earned.

Y'all love using this scare tactic but the fact remains that FBA's were not getting deported in during Trump's presidency outside of the very rare anomaly.
