Theres a saying I always say to ex Jay fans that I feel is apprpriate for this discussion(Not tryna bring Jay into this but..u know....Im a Hov stan :jawalrus:

"If you could support the content of RD Jay..You are a hypocrite to not support and complain about the supporters of current Jay"

Now what does this mean you ask?

Well it is saying for the most part that both entities are in essence luxury rap.
Only..that what separates the two is the amount and the value of luxury portrayed from both entities.
I find that alot of people try to in some weird way justify their hate of luxury rap artists but at the same time support small scale braggadocios rappers who arent too far from their status financially.
Once they do get too far tho is when the complaining begins.

Same with teh whole fashion rap like Asap...when it becomes too "far" from the view of the average hip hop listener they start to become not only envious, but hate the artist.
While, ironically enjoying rappers that are "street" fly and those that brag on that.

Hypocrisy is whats rlly happening.

When one says they need to stop braggadocios rhymes, u need to be consistent and stand against all of em and not just the ones that make u feel small because of how far they are on ur financial scope. But all of it.

Like no more, Im better than u, I sold more albums than u, I make more money than u, my girl is da baddest, im soo hot/i got so much swag, i get more sex or p*ssy than u, etc etc.

If ur going to want people to take u seriously on ur protest against self praise rap music u need to go against it all and I mean all..cuz if u dnt..well..it just merely looks like hating :manny:

God, I've been asking myself this for years bro. The answer is what a few other posters said. They're insecure and anything they can do to one up the next man is important to them.

That's like sayin if you like a glass of wine from time to time, you can't be critical of someone drinking a gallon of vodka getting sloppy drunk, puking and pissing on himself in public every day..

There is no hypocrisy in that at all...

A lot of things are good in balance and moderation, but can become problematic if done in excess...

Too bad what is in discussion isnt the quantity but rather the value and quality of said braggadocios raps.:youngsabo:

Meaning..you are revealing what is really the problem..which isnt the essence of the braggadocios rhymes but rather the justifications used to brag by certain rappers.

This has nothing to do with excess because this has nothing to do with quantity just tell it like it is.

These rappers go too far away from ur social scope to brag while ur still entertained by it.
U feel like they need to stay close to ur scope to be entertained by their braggadocios rhymes

And thats fine..do u...but to go around demonizing fans who enjoy the braggadocios rhymes is not only hypocritical..its just plain stupid:damn:

These rappers are lying. Nate Dogg, rest in peace, once spoke passionately about loving hoes and said many degrading things about women, friends.

Later in life, he kidnapped his girlfriend and cousin after he caught them in an affair. He also set her car ablaze. Why would he do this if he didnt love her, friends.

Actually you're wrong..Do you understand what the word obession insinuates? It's directly linked to the quantity..

Well..I was referring moreso to where the thread lead to

Discussion of luxury rap :smugfavre:

SO now Im going to show those who continue to demonize those who enjoy luxury rap, as hypocrites. :lolbron:

What rappers portray themselves as is only a slightly more exaggerated version of the typical coli poster.

Everyone's over 6'2, with 10% body fat, making 100k a year, and getting tons of p*ssy :win:.

Like it was stated b4 most times the listener is putting himself in the position of the rapper (fukking YOUR girl instead of the rapper fukking his girl). Only time it breaks the "4the wall" is if the make a statement that hits close to home (ie: it's gotta burn alil when Big Sean says you make 25 a year, I make 25 a night...and you actually make 25 a year :mjpls:)

Thread is comedy but at the same time the main rappers that talk about being players all seem to fukk the same circle of 5-10 escorts/models/video hoes/whatever.

There is no reason for Joe Budden and Drake to be pulling the same chick.

Fred.

Im betting that an average WalMart working chick would be all :childplease: at a Joe Budden hollering at em like that, thats why they gotta stay wit that lil Rotation

Rejection hurts anyone Broke or Rich:to:
