They’re doing jobs Americans just wont do
Well would you look at that. All of these movies of ADOS portraying African and Caribbean people
Wanna hear Robert Townsend speak like a Jamaican?

All the ADOS playing Black and Caribbean people. Interesting
If you need an "Act-toor" rather than a "Movie Star" the odds shift in the favoUr of classically trained Brits.
All of these are american movies fukk boy
Jharell Jerome is Dominican
Chadwick Boseman... and he's the most talented of that bunch IMO.
If you Yanks are complaining about us Brits taking Yank roles then come to the UK and secure some UK acting roles. Learn the multiple British accents (London ones, West Country, Brummie, Yorshire, East Midlands, Geordie, East Anglian, Scouse, Manc etc) and play a Mandem/Roadman. Or a British cop. Or a Hooligan. Or a Chip shop owner. Or a Kebab shop owner
While you're here in the UK, you yanks can learn some real culture:
Football (not Handegg)
Proper beer not the shyt you guys drink.
Football anthems
Fish and Chips
Going out then getting a Kebab
Full English Breakfast including Blood/Black Pudding
I'll let you consider the option!fukk outta here moe
The irony of this whole shytJordan Peele hires British actors to play Americans
Stfu bytchWhy couldn't they get African actors to play African roles?
I gotcha but I ain't seeing the up and coming black American stars who killing shyt either. As I said in another thread you dam near rather be a social media comedian or a rapper because you will land more roles. But that's more on Hollywood not wanting to place budgets behind a lot of black dramas that could showcase range unless its yet another slave civil rights movie that can on a subtle level paint white folks in a new light.
We bytching and complaining but running right back to the same white institutions for opportunities. That is ass backwards
None of those actors you just mentioned are having their roles taken over by British actors.
Denzel, Sam, Morgan et al. all refined and mature actors. We’re talking about new up and coming actors. There is a pool of 20-35 year old (including Idris) black male and female actors and a few are British. I don’t know why everyone is getting their knickers in a twist.
Let’s not forgot that growing up in the U.K. pretty much makes your prior life non-existent & clean too, and British actors, as others have said are classically trained. This just doesn’t mean they’ve learnt to act but they also have learnt how to behave and are educated. An actor just does not perform scenes. It the ability to absorb characters, it’s the ability to speak to media, your colleagues/fans, etc. Studios consider this stuff as well.
Anthony Mackie, Michael B. Jordan = not a great
Donald Glover= great actor
Lakeith Standfield = bad comments and a bit of outrage. A bit weird, probably won’t get a massive title anymore.
If I was a studio, Daniel K and John B would be chosen over all of those actors above
