The most recent i can think of was white americans complaining about Henry Cavil playing superman because he was british. Superman is not even american in the strictest sense.lol

First off, someone already called you out and pointed out that multiple films on that list weren't American.
Doesnt really matter. We are in complete jurisdiction to call out misrepresentation wherever it is
Second of all, why would that matter? You think any of those films are being made exclusively by or for ADOS? If anything it's American Jews that run the film industry and they make that shyt for global profits. Even Get Out, which had an extremely American-centric theme and America-focused promotion, made 1/3 of its money overseas.

Does anyone care when Daniel Day Lewis plays Lincoln or an American West oilman or a New York gangster? When Christian Bale plays Batman or major characters in films literally called "American Psycho" and "American Hustle"? Anthony Hopkins out there as John Quincy Adams or that old West dude in Legends of the Fall, Gary Oldman as Lee Harvey Oswald, Sean Connery as the great American novelist?

It's called ACTING. The whole point is that it is not your identity you're portraying. If you can only portray your own identity then you're a shytty-ass actor.



This is some real self-defeating shyt. The issue in Hollywood is that there ain't enough BLACK roles. We should be fighting for more BLACK films and BLACK roles in Hollywood, but y'all out there like crabs in a barrel fighting over who gets the rare roles that are given rather than fighting for more of them.

This really isn't as big an issue as some make out to be.

Hollywood is the biggest film market in the world, of course the closest country to America will steal a few roles on occasion.

Don't let Samuel L., Spike Lee, and a couple other obscure actors make this a bigger problem than it really is.

America still leads the world in popularity and culture...15 or 20 Brits are not going to change that.
