bane wasn't the mastermind, talia was. which goes to show you, behind every physically unbeatable man, there's a fine ass version of marion cotillard pulling the strings. bane's physicality was of no use without her planning...

Its unfair to compare the two due to Heaths death, had he lived we would have seen Joker's character develop more, what we saw in TDK was just the tip of the iceberg for Joker

Bane on the quotables alone, never mind him fukking Batman up.
Joker infuriates Batman without even threatening to throw a punch, then laughs when Batman hits him. He is the complete opposite of him and realizes there is nothing he can do to change him.

My inner batman nerd is coming out in this thread.

If we're just talking about movie villains for me bane is up there with Zod from superman 2. The only impact joker had on batman was making him choose between dent and that chick ( but he really didn't know how much Bruce loved her).
The problem I had with the joker in that movie was he did more to mess with Gotham's mob bosses and cops/politicians than he did with batman or the people of Gotham.

As soon as u saw bane on the screen u knew that nikka was no joke. Basically told batman he wasn't bout that life anymore; paralyzed him; threw him in a pit and put a tv there so he could watch his city burn. Than turns Gotham into a scene from fallout; bodies a couple of navy seal cats like they were the first level bums from streets of rage. And would've skilled bats at the end until cat comes in with that rocket launcher. And he did all this while spitting line after line of soul burning ether.
The Joker was supposed to be in 2 films, it would have gotten even worse if we saw the whole thing through. I think you guys are really not paying attention to that...what you are looking at is incomplete work when it comes to the Joker vs the rise and complete fall of Bane in one film.

Two-Face was brilliant in TDK.....in fact, everytime I watch the movie, my respect for the character (And Aaron Eckhart) inches a little bit closer to Joker.

Dent : "You think I wanna escape from this? There is no escape from this!"
Bats : "You don't wanna hurt the boy Harvey!"
Dent : "It's not about what I want IT'S ABOUT WHAT'S FAIR!" You thought we could be decent men, in an indecent time. Well you were wrong. The world is cruel, and the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair.

That bolded line pierces me every single time I hear it.

Maybe he wasn't good as a comic book adaptation, but as a separate entity, Dent was the second best thing about TDK and is very close to Joker in my eyes.

The metaphor with the coin is also brilliant. What a way to use a prop to tell a story. Nolan did something similar in Inception with the spinning top. I think most would prefer the spinning top because the last scene made people think it meant something that it didn't (That it was all a dream). For me, seeing how Dent went from making his own luck by cheating and using a double sided coin, to relying completely on luck using the very same coin (But burned, like his face), really made the character.
I just felt that Nolan did not do enough with Two-Face, the lead up to Two-Face was great...but it ended SO quickly :leostare:

Same here bruh. When I heard that in the theater I knew Nolan did it again :to:

Let's see one villain broke the bat physically, mentally, and financially...and the other villain only hurt him emotionally but he seemed to get over that by fukking another woman and retiring with another one. You tell me who is better

eh, talia's responsible for breaking him down mentally and financially, not bane. he only broke him physically. it just surprises me how much people don't recognize that she was behind the whole shyt, not bane. he was a ploy from the start...

:childplease: Bane did none of those things except the physical part all the other stuff was Talia and neither emotionally or mentally got to Bruce like

one man caused Batman too retire and only went to jail, the other was a role player who's beat ended up revitalizing Bruce and also died simpin' you tell me who won :steviej:
