I'm cool with that. I just read this whole thread & was at the "Bane was a guard dog" comments.



Talk about underselling a character. One, Talia would've died in the pit if Bane wasn't around. Two, nikkas wasn't even paying attention to the movie. Bane was the basis for their crew forming in the first place, being too extreme for Ra & the League of Shadows, influencing Talia to form a sect with him. If he wasn't around Talia would've died along with her dad in BB. Three, If Talia didn't have Bane as her enforcer, she would've started looking really pitiful, really quick Imagine Talia running the streets, trying to terrorize Gotham on her own, actually executing, not planning, executing some of the crazy shyt Bane did in the movie, she'd died within days. Let's be reality here

the only reasonable point you made was the point about her dying in the pit. that's the only thing that would have happened if bane wasn't around. but that alone doesn't mean that she wasn't the mastermind. and if anything it highlights bane as the guard dog once again, not as a master mind. you can't say with 100% certainty that bane was responsible for them forming up because that wasn't addressed after talia was revealed. the only nolan addressed after revealing her was that it was actually talia who escaped the pit the same way bruce did. nothing else was discovered or cleared up. bane was the physical aspect but talia was the brain for sure. they were both necessary in the end but it think talia's role was the most critical...
