the only problem I have is muthafukkas start saying "replace kobe with [insert guard's name here], and they still win multiple titles.

that's stretch armstrong-type reaching.

Is that not a valid retort to some idiot saying that Kobe is better than [insert guard's name here] because Kobe is winning rings with a prime Shaq and [insert guard's name here] is getting knocked out of the playoffs with lesser teammates?

I always thought the sidekick label didn't really have anything to do with stats...

I thought it was more because it was Shaq's team and the offense was built around his dominance.

Excluding Kobe's first two years is transparent, since 1998-1999 was not his "first 9 years" in the league. I don't care how you try to spin it, nobody is going to throw out James Harden's first couple of years because he was coming off the bench.

i said "first 9 years starting"...

spin isn't excluding years that a kid started 7 games out 150. spin is comparing two kids, knowing a 7ppg/15mins a game season will heavily skew the numbers, when we're supposed to be establishing an accurate comparison of both players' capabilities.

no beef though. you a cool dude otherwise

i swear every time a kobe stan makes a thread, all it ever amounts to is 'why doesn't everybody love kobe as much as i do?"

and the answer? because we're not fukking fakkits that have a schoolgirl crushes on a grown man that doesn't even know we exist.

it doesn't matter how much you want to dance around it, it was shaq's team, point blank, period. it doesn't mean kobe wasn't a great player, it doesn't mean anyone's shytting on the guy. it's just a fact...the only people who don't accept it are overzealous stans trying to re-write history.

just stop already.

You just can't expunge that from comparisons, especially if you're including LeBron's rookie year. He wasn't ready to start as a rookie, LeBron was, how can you just ignore that.

Like I said before, will people just not include James Harden's numbers from his first 3 years in comparisons? He's going to start at some point, and if he ever gets his own team the numbers will be high.

So once again, Lebron's physical attributes need to be ignored because not ignoring them is unfair to your selective comparisons.

Why do you bother?

Everybody can't get drafted to one of the worst teams in league history...

*well Kobe opted out :russ:*
