Everybody can't get drafted to the worst team in league history...

THey weren't the worst team for long

Wonder why?

Thank you for admitting Kobe was placed in a far better position than Lebron.

I'm really surprised a lot of people are saying Kobe. Based on your 3 choices the only viable option is Westbrook.

Let's discuss the other two options:

1) Kobe - has been a game closer all his NBA career, no way you can be considered a sidekick when you're deciding games in the 4th

2) Wade - single handedly won the Heat a title, anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't recall that series, Wade was a one man wrecking crew, while Lebron has taken a bit of the shine from Wade, I'm sure when it matters most he'll come through with an amazing game

Both Kobe and Wade have shown they could win w/o the other person you're including in the tandem, so the only even remotely possible option out of those 3 is Westbrook

You can tell who was really watching Laker games and who just saw them nationally (if that).

Once again, there's massive problem with how the term "sidekick" is being defined. The drop off from shaq to the next best player in the MDE days was STARK. As for the rest, who really gives a fukk, this is one of those manufactured narratives where people try to pigeonhole current events into the prism of the past.

I do wonder about how people view WestBrook, however. As good as Durant has been, I think Westbrook is far more important to team success than people realize. Durant is fortunate he can shoot from 30 feet out, because his ball handling skills are not quite as good as other elite players.

during the shaq/kobe era I always like compared them to:

Superman (Shaq) and Batman (Kobe) Superman can do everything because he was born with it. Batman had to train a life time and have some skills/tools to make him a super hero.

At any rate, i think this book is not yet written regarding KD and Westbrook and again you cant ever call Wade a sidekick because when SHAQ was in Miami he was Wade's sidekick

If you want to make a comparison, you have to either combine like terms or fukk off. If people want to talk about championship teams Kobe has been on as evidence that he is better than other players, yet they don't want the difference in supporting casts to be discussed, they're being c*nts, plain amd simple. Besides, I have seen several Kobestans mention that Kobe would have won in the situation LeBron or Wade had last year and I have never seen you object to that.
