no one called kobe a bum. when you arent good at forming a basis for your argument, and just want to stir shyt up you make up stuff like that as one of your counter points to act like you have the upper hand in the debate

I provided hard stats. You provided conjecture & bias.

I already have the upper hand :rudy:

:stopitslime: at nikkas never calling Kobe a sidekick. There's a thousand threads at SOHH on this.

Look at the players respective MVP rankings during the course of those seasons.

Shaq getting the MVP in the Finals as well as the regular season when the duo of Shaq and Kobe were established shows just who ran the show.

It's AMAZING to me that people are now making the dynasty a matter of it being equal parts Shaq and Kobe when during its heyday, it was clearly Shaq's team.

WTF?

During the first championship it was definitely Shaq option 1 and Kobe option 2. But by the last two championships they were options 1 and 1a with both carrying the team for stretches at a time. Shaq was looked at as the better player but there was more and more talk of Kobe being at least just as important. Especially as the role players around them got worse and worse.

he was a sidekick. to shaquille fukking o neal. if that equals "bum" to you, then you are just an idiot. but when 0.1 rebounds and 1 more point in 4 more minutes of basketball is a large discrepancy between 2 players, then you being an idiot is already clearly evident

no answer

Those points coming from the low blocks with Shaq opened up the lanes for Kobe.

Why are you acting as if the Lakers weren't an inside out team where the wing players benefitted from Shaq's presences as opposed to it being equal?

Watch sports man...stop changing the past.

:jawalrus: one of smallest gaps between "lead dog" and "sidekick" in history(1 PPG in 01')

For example Kobe and Gasol in the 09' Playoffs

Kobe 30 PPG
Pau 19 PPG

11 PPG Gap

:jawalrus:

You're speaking from a pure stats perspective. The Lakers weren't an inside-out team?
:wtf:
