The study specifically refers to IGF-1, a growth hormone, as the explanation for the cancers, along with sex hormones and insulin. Acidity and inflammation are not the leading causes of breast, kidney, ovarian, pancreatic, prostate, testicular, or thyroid cancers. In fact, chronic inflammation of some kinds is thought to reduce the possibilities for certain kinds of cancer, strangely.

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Why should people who didn't get accustomed to the agricultural revolution, or who reversed the effects by resuming a lifestyle in harsh climates have high cancer rates? They had to deal with selection pressures that most of humanity didn't.

The study collected data from 157 countries- the majority of humanity, which Inuits certainly don't represent either genetically or in lifestyle. The full study can be found here: http://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/6/1/163
Very interesting.

I can't argue facts. Fact still remains inflammation and acidity leads to puss and puss leads to...

Nutrition is confusing. Sometimes it seems like anything you eat that isn't a vegetable is bad for you in some way. First fats are bad because they cause heart disease, then carbs are bad because they cause weight gain, now protein is bad too? :damn:

Thought as I understand, it's really animal protein that we're taking about. For the vegetarians/vegans here, how do you typically get your protein?

I'm thinking of cutting my meat intake, but I can't really get full off just eating vegetables and I'm kind of concerned that cutting meat would just lead to me eating a bunch of carbs, which may not be much better. Plus, I'm not trying to lose weight - in truth I'm already a bit scrawny and I'm not trying to lose muscle mass.

I can think of beans and legumes as sources of plant protein, but that's about it. :patrice:

Men die anyway. Are you saying that people should consume growth hormone and test promoting foods as they age? That's pretty surprising coming from a natural health guy.

So do plants and animals and everything on this planet...what is your point? IGF-1 keeps men from cycling down to heart disease and other physical ailments at young ages( mid 40's to late 50's). Man's low testosterone is another problem that can lead to worst things. The meat isn't the issue here, it's the FDA, WHO and CDC adding unnatural hormones and other toxins into the stream of food, water, etc that is leading to death and massive problems in the body. You can always skip beef and go to turkey, elk, bison and emu. Those are leaner meats and cleaner. Eat Fish but make sure you don't eat fish with high mercury levels. Drink Almond Milk and not regular milk since regular has all the unnatural additives in it. Never put salt on your cooked food, only salt during the prep. Eat greens everyday and eat certain fruits that won't raise blood-sugar like pineapple, bananas, dates, mango( sugar high). Exercise.
