You do realize that lower amounts of one substance can be healthy while higher amounts of that same substance can have negative effects?

Also, think about it evolutionarily. Humans did not evolve eating meat 3 times a day like many modern Americans do, because we had to hunt each time and meat wasn't always accessible even when we could, plus storage technology was nonexistent for most of our evolutionary history. Our bodies weren't built to handle that.

1. We aren't talking about a drug or a herb, it's food. The negative effects is certain groups controlling what should or shouldn't be in our systems.
2. Humans evolved eating meat thousands of years ago. Maybe not as often as the modern people of today do but the canine teeth features in modern man show they have teeth that are designed for meat.
2a. Our bodies are built for anything but things that are extremely harmful like toxins in our food and water. Even vegetarians and vegans are getting sick and cancer from the pesticides in the fruits and veggies, maybe not as much as meat cause meat absorbs the chemicals longer and larger amounts of it.

What's the cancer rate of the Inuits who survive on 70-90% animal meat and fat?

Ill wait.
c'mon breh
That's completely natural, free roaming meat, and they live in completely natural environments...
It's our diets along with a plethora of other things

Like Mongolians and other people in harsh environments, they evolved to be that way. Most people don't have that genetic advantage. Same reason northern Europeans have near no lactose intolerance while large percentages of every other people on the planet do. Most of us haven't had to deal with selection pressures that altered our initial makeup from the lower-meat hunter-gatherer period of our history since our ancestors lived in farm-worthy environments.

To answer your question, though: http://www.cancermonthly.com/inp/view.asp?ID=228

That is hilarious .

Evolved to be that way? In a matter of how many years did this evolution of the human species occur? Why are there cases of non Inuits taking up the diet just fine?

Your title says that eating animal products in large quantities causes cancer but this isn't true. Maybe it was true in the people they conducted the study on but it isn't true in general with humans.

I agree but that's not what the OP is trying to imply here.

He says that eating large amount of meat and animal products causes cancer. That isn't true. Now he's trying to say that others evolved to eat large quantities of meat but where is the anthropological evidence of high cancer rates in those communities?

Word. I agree.

Inflammation and acidity due to different foods should be the discussion.

IGF-1 is natural. We lose alot during around ages 30. Just like testosterone. Without this...the body gets weaker and falls apart.
No question. But that taper is natural as well. That's just what happens, even with diet, exercise, reduced stress, whatever. Plenty of substances in our food and bodies are natural, that doesn't mean that they're ok for the body to consume in excess.

No we lose the very elements we need to keep the body from falling apart. Even with exercise....testosterone and IG-1 leave the body at some maxed out ages and the body can't recoup it from anywhere else. Yes many things are natural in our body and consuming these are as natural as if they never left. Abusing that can lead to other problems but without these things....men will die.
