No we lose the very elements we need to keep the body from falling apart. Even with exercise....testosterone and IG-1 leave the body at some maxed out ages and the body can't recoup it from anywhere else. Yes many things are natural in our body and consuming these are as natural as if they never left. Abusing that can lead to other problems but without these things....men will die.
Men die anyway. Are you saying that people should consume growth hormone and test promoting foods as they age? That's pretty surprising coming from a natural health guy.

What's hilarious? That for the vast majority of our recent evolutionary history, our ancestors survived on a balanced diet of animal and plant proteins that wasn't bacon with breakfast, ham and chicken with lunch, and steak for dinner?

What was funny was alluding to storage technology.

I have no issue with a balanced diet. I do have issue with you, Kool G Trap/bro coming here masquerading vegetarian/vegan propaganda as some "balanced diet" welfare PSA. It's dishonest. I love you guys but come on now.

:dahell: propaganda.

We're not anti-meat; we just believe that the proportion of meat people in the western world consume is ecologically and physically not preferable. You're really jumping from A->D on that one breh.
They're eating clean freshly killed meat without any chemicals, difficult to see the comparison.

They probably eat a lot more fish. But the most recent surveys of how they do gender-wise appears to be split;

Women do worse than the standard canadian, men do better. (heh)

What's the cancer rate of the Inuits who survive on 70-90% animal meat and fat?

Ill wait.
A study was published in 1934 by F.S. Fellows in the US Treasury's Public Health Reports entitled "Mortality in the Native Races of the Territory of Alaska, With Special Reference to Tuberculosis"

I personally respect the power of Collins and Eselstein's research
they have convinced me to go vegan
I would advise the audiobook to anyone

That's exactly my point. Is it eating animals/animal fat or is it something else unnaturally happening, like chemicals or feed?

There's a lot of variables. Barbecuing, frying and broiling meat increases the carcinogens. And then there's the type of surface your cooking on: non-stick pans vs ceramic; olive & coconut oil vs vegetable oil.

You're thinking along the correct lines but not exactly.

They mostly increase acidity and inflammation, those are the two leading causes of cancer.

The study specifically refers to IGF-1, a growth hormone, as the explanation for the cancers, along with sex hormones and insulin. Acidity and inflammation are not the leading causes of breast, kidney, ovarian, pancreatic, prostate, testicular, or thyroid cancers. In fact, chronic inflammation of some kinds is thought to reduce the possibilities for certain kinds of cancer, strangely.

I agree but that's not what the OP is trying to imply here.

He says that eating large amount of meat and animal products causes cancer. That isn't true. Now he's trying to say that others evolved to eat large quantities of meat but where is the anthropological evidence of high cancer rates in those communities?

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Why should people who didn't get accustomed to the agricultural revolution, or who reversed the effects by resuming a lifestyle in harsh climates have high cancer rates? They had to deal with selection pressures that most of humanity didn't.

The study collected data from 157 countries- the majority of humanity, which Inuits certainly don't represent either genetically or in lifestyle. The full study can be found here: http://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/6/1/163

In the study they controlled for that, though you make a good point, friend. Those chemicals can also be very bad. In any case, we should all try to achieve balanced diets so we can live longer and healthier lives, friend.

The logic behind the cancer is relatively simple- those foods stimulate more growth, and more growth naturally comes with more cancer past a certain point, because cell growth is how cancer manifests.

I am naturally inclined to meats, fruits, and veggies...My body absolutely prefers it...Not a rice, pasta, or bread guy really...With that being said, the older I get, the more veggies I want to eat. Its almost like a meal that's heavy in meat takes a toll on me now for hours afterwards.

I don't see how any of this is vegetarian or vegan propaganda. I never suggested or endorsed the idea that humans evolved as vegetarians, or that people should be vegetarian or vegan now. But seeing how many people around me eat, especially certain cultures, (meat 3 times a day, 2 of those 3 times as the center of a dish rather than one among many components) definitely seems unnatural when paired with the relevant data.

For example, I was in Puerto Rico a little while ago and couldn't find a decent serving of vegetables anywhere without having to buy it and cook myself. Lunch and dinner was mostly fried meat. Even my meat-loving friends couldn't handle it after 4 or 5 days. Or look at how a lot of these Southerners eat. Same deal. And not surprisingly, there were tons of obese individuals. I didn't even look up the heart problem rates, but I almost feel like I wouldn't have to. Another example- we were having a party at work, and for convenience's sake, the committee voted to just cater a vegetarian array so we wouldn't have to deal with ordering for Kosher, Halal, vegan options, etc, separately. Some of the people (mostly Caribbean Latinos and Southerners, again) actually complained and boycotted the event just because they refused to eat one meal with no meat in it. To me, that's insane behavior.

Also, just to add, 12,000 years can change a lot for us. Blue eyes only appeared about 10,000 years ago, but now you can find them from Bangladesh to Scotland. Lactose tolerance also only evolved about 8,000 years ago, but now you can find adults who thrive on dairy all over the world. So if the agricultural revolution is 12,000 years old, that's a lot of time for human digestive capacities to change, especially with strong selection pressures involved, which is also why Inuits and Mongolians can do what they do. I imagine most of the people who couldn't handle that level of meat just died out in those environments.
