the n64 games were especially awesome if you remember what had come before those.
Remember Royal Rumble on Genesis? I used Macho Man a lot in that........and loved the 16 bit version of the Million Dollar Mans theme.
Then WWF Raw.......which introduced knocking out the ref and hitting dudes with the slop bucket or the chair.
And the shytty grappling system where you just gotta mash as hard as you can. Those were the struggle days
Then Wrestlemania the arcade game dropped..........Graphics were dope, had Undertaking whooping ass with actual tombstones and shooting ghosts outta his hands. The best move in the game to me was Bam Bam Bigelow burning through the ring with his top rope splash.
If you wanted the world title you had to be pretty damn good. They put you through the gauntlet of hell. Multiple matches against 3 dudes at once!!!!! Pretty much an MK style arcade mode.
Very over the top, but it was aight enough......... Then we got In Your House.......pretty much the sequel.........which added fatalities
I remember buying magazines trying to figure out how to do the heartbreak hotel fatality with Shawn Michaels. This was early ps1 era. I may have even used the internet back then for this one....remember cheat code central?????
These were all cool...........until I played World Tour at a friends house. Was actually my first time playing n64. Greatest moment of my wrestling gaming history......THQ, AKI, whoever made it......is awesome
