DNA is a banger but if Nas made LOVE everyone would be saying its wack

I'm a fan of both but I think there's a double standard here
No double standard, if anyone made LOVE, I'd still call it a great song.

Now if Kendrick made IWW, people would call it kendrick's most disappointing album

DNA is not a classic hip hop song. That shyt doesn’t stack up to songs like You’re da Man, 2nd Childhood, The Flyest, Rewind.

Kendrick sounds awful on LOVE the song is very corny and sappy. Honestly the singer carried.

Thats factually incorrect and I double checked. KD3 barely had any review...maybe you don't know how that works bro. But if an album gets 100% based on only 1 review, it's not critically acclaimed :mjlol:
Also no rapper needs to compete with Nas, It's not about how many albums you got, else Lil Wayne would be the goat because he had like 100 mixtapes out

KD3 had 12 reviews and if you break down the reviews from the same publications that also reviewed Mr Morale Nas still comes out on top.

Tbh the only double standard I see is you thinking your tastes is better than the masses, and considering an acclaimed album shouldn't be acclaimed because you personnally don't understand how great it is

Nas himself would say Kendrick. Illmatic might, MIGHT be the best rap album ever, but even then Kendrick has an argument with TPAB.
Wassup with these accounts I never seen from the posts to the daps posting bullshyt :mjlol:

TPAB could have never came out and hip hop would be exactly the same

Nas and it’s really not even close. They are not even in the same element as far as bars are concerned

I like Kendrick but some of his music can come across as being corny and a lot of people who I talk rap outside of here feel the same way. I never listened to a Nas song/album/feature and felt that way

Kendrick has really gotten overrated as fukk on here and I actually like the nikka

Thats completely and factually wrong. Not to mention it had massive influence on other genres. TPAB is literally credited for Jazz revival on the west coast. It also influenced albums from Beyonce, Prince, David Bowie, Herbie Hancock, George Clinton, Chuck D, and albums from new artists like Denzel Curry, jazz artist Kamasi Washington, Joey Badass and thats not even a fan argument, there's literally articles and interviews of these artists saying so.

The fact a modern album managed to influence GOAT artists like that is a testament of how impactful it was.
