Which means there's a lot more trash. Kendrick's is better overall. Please stop these threads. Nas’ catalog is way too much extensive. Kendrick’s catalog is cool but let’s not overdo it now.
You're confusing quality and influence.Song is completely irrelevant in the annals of hip hop
No double standard, if anyone made LOVE, I'd still call it a great song.
Now if Kendrick made IWW, people would call it kendrick's most disappointing album
Thats not a double standard, Kendrick has better comprehension of notes and rythms in general...it would be a double standard if they were equally bad and one had more praise than the other. What you call a double standard is a legitimate praise that you can't comprehend, come on now.Weird take. I'm sure Kendrick himself would tell you IWW is a great album.
And let's be honest: neither Nas or Kendrick are what you would call great singers. But when Nas sings, it's "the fukk he trying that for? Rap!" When Kendrick does it, it's a great song lmao. Come on, that's a double standard.
This thread now relies on fans subjective and bold takes, dude really said IWW was a classic
I mean at this point let's call Blue Print 3 a masterpiece

Nas doesn't even know what a chord is, everytime he attempt at having a chord, you only hear the root note, the third, but the fifth is missing lol...
What I find fascinating is that some people here don't really seem to understand music, comparing kendrick and nas singing and thinking they're equal is crazy. That is literally INSANE.
To this day, Kendrick has literallydisplayed some of the best usage of chords and rythms since Andre 3000...no way you're comparing him to nas in the singing department
Kendrick

However Nas' best>>>>>>>>Kendrick's best.
The musicianship and production of the album was great he got a great team of producers and live musicians for it hence its influence in jazz however that shyt was unappreciated and came and went.Thats completely and factually wrong. Not to mention it had massive influence on other genres. TPAB is literally credited for Jazz revival on the west coast. It also influenced albums from Beyonce, Prince, David Bowie, Herbie Hancock, George Clinton, Chuck D, and albums from new artists like Denzel Curry, jazz artist Kamasi Washington, Joey Badass and thats not even a fan argument, there's literally articles and interviews of these artists saying so.
The fact a modern album managed to influence GOAT artists like that is a testament of how impactful it was.
