That's cap.

I like Brunson campaigned for him to be signed argued with cats up and down on here that he was worth over $20M a season.

I like Quickley, Grimes and Toppin. Quickley in particular is one player I've been trying to tell y'all is way better than most of this fanbase even realizes.

I'm high on I-Hart.

The only people I'm really down on is them Duke nikkas especially the one with the 9 on his back :scust:

I think Mitchell's leadership and the offensive impact he brings would have helped Cam out along with having a defined role and ample playing time perhaps he could have been serviceable at SF. I know he isn't worse than Lamar Stevens and Isaac Okoro and even LeVert when he is having one of his W.O.A.T. nights/poor stretches.

It's no telling how we would gel here, the camaraderie that would be built here, I think we had enough talent to be a top 5 team in the East with Mitchell with us this season with a window for a some seasons in a wide open era of the NBA. It beats whatever the hell it is we are doing or y'all waiting for.
Yea yea

None of those moves make sense. Who are the Knicks going to move for those players. Yall really think they'll be able to keep the mid 3 & add on of those stars.

Who is Trae playing next too, Brunson?

A Lavine/RJ/Randle will will have Knicks fans ready to choke them after so many ill advised 3s.

KAT & Randle play the same position. And who playing the 5? Mitch or KAT?

Realistically I don't see any player that could become available that gets us closer to contention than Mitchell. shyt it's no guarantee we ever get a player of Mitchell's caliber we've never had anything like him. So I never liked the whole "doesn't make us a contender" thinking. I see the NBA as wide open right now. The Knicks fans are wishing on a star literally I don't know what player y'all are waiting to draft or trade for. I still think Knicks fans in order to rationalize this move not happening tend to underrate what Mitchell would have had to work with had we gotten him and dismiss how things could have possibly gelled.

People sleeping on the Cavs I'm assuming because they have some young inexperienced players. I'm not worried at all about Mitchell in the playoffs and I wouldn't be surprised if the Cavs can beat Boston or Milwaukee. They match up well with both teams, have already beaten both teams during the season, and neither team is really infallible just because they made Finals runs. They not the Warriors in this era where its been a serious uphill battle for teams to put them away. Both the Bucks and Celtics have taken their playoff exists over the years. Cavs had more problems with Brooklyn.

I get the challenge of finding a Mitchell-caliber player for sure. A player on that level being available only happens every so often. I think Rose might rethink that trade if he realized how good Randle was gonna show up. I think Cleveland was in a much better position to make that move though. They have that pair of great shot-blockers, Darius Garland is a sure-thing, and they had some depth leftover. We had a bunch of question marks between prior injuries and shytty play. That meant giving up more and having less after.

The Knicks woulda definitely had work to do in order to pass up the C's, Nets, and Bucks. The Cavs have a better case. I don't have any doubts about Mitchell in the postseason. But like you said, that's a bunch of young, inexperienced key pieces while everyone they compete with will bring deep playoff-run experience. I like their match-up with the Bucks better than the C's or Nets. But I still think Cleveland is a wing away (though having Stevens and Okoro kinda makes sense from a defense standpoint). My sleeper pick would Philly over Cleveland, though they could use one more wing too.

With New York, I only don't mind waiting more because they're actually starting to hit on picks with some consistency. That's also why I would have been fine tanking this season if we got last season's Randle or Grimes' foot injury kept him out long enough. Mitchell-level guys only become available every few years. But they do become available and I feel like it's becoming more frequent these days. Next time they ought to be better positioned to move with confidence.

Kat is a 5. You are who you can defend and his big lumbering ass isn’t chasing 4s around. Big part of why Minny is struggling.

Trae is a hell no unless they're talking a swap for Brunson and they're GIVING us extra assets on top of Trae.

Brunson>>>>>>>>Trae

I think that Grimes has just as much impact as Lavine does when you take both sides of the ball into account. A trade for him doesn't make much sense either.

Towns seems like the most likely trade to happen but we'd be swapping offense for defense quite literally. That might end up as a lateral move too.

I don't wanna do any of these trades, I'd be fine with the Knicks just sitting on their assets, using them on lower profile guys who are more impactful, or straight up just using them instead.

fukk the contract Zach Lavine has too, he's a hell no from me actually.

We need to get back a Jaylen Brown level player at least if we're doing a trade.
I’d go for Derozan and move RJ to the bench as a super 6th man. If we could swing Derozan AND KAT, (probably means Mitch gets sent to Chicago) then our offense would be pretty insane with such a wide open lane. Defense would be some serious shyt though.
