There is no way RJ ever emulates DeRozan footwork and probably never gets to his level of handles either. I took saying RJ should emulate DeRozan as short form for "RJ could use a semblance of a midrange game". Even just adding a pull-up jumper off of the roll would help RJ immensely in keeping the defense somewhat honest when he attacks the rim.

Stiff lefty, rudimentary handle, questionable shot form that only works in corner catch and shoot situations, bully ball slasher with poor body control, no midrange game, poor footwork (has been called on how many travels this year?), average explosion in the half court, weak first step

Yeah that guy should try to play like DeMar DeRozan

DeRozan was a smooth young prospect with legit good feel for the game that man has Hall of Fame prototype wing tools and skills and flashed them early

I don't even like DeRozan like that although he is a good basketball player.

RJ and DeRozan are very different. RJ cannot model his game after him. That take is ridiculous its a very I skim games not watch them take.

Keeping it real is not hating.

I keep it real the only player I critique like that is RJ, before that it was Frank. I have never liked Cam Reddish always thought he was a player skating on an undeserved reputation. I use to defend RJ against Hawks fans here who though Reddish was better. The only reason I have critiqued Reddish is because of delusional stans and the notion that he has to play. I love Obi, Grimes, Quickley.

There's plenty of players league-wide I think are overrated y'all mention Saddiq Bey on here quite a bit I'm not high on dude. It's plenty of times y'all mention a guy we should sign for or trade for and I'm like nah.

Me telling you the truth about RJ, that most objective knowledgable viewers of the NBA would tell you, does not mean I'm hating.

Me telling you that Barrett and DeRozan are not similar players from archetype/play style to skills to athletic profile and that Barrett cannot develop into a DeRozan is not hating it's the stone cold truth.
