It's called being a professional coach & not burning bridges. Guys in the NBA talk

But let’s be specific. Cause there’s push and pull in everything. We already know playing him garbage time minutes in blowouts does nothing. Every team has nba scouts who aren’t dummies. So how many wins potentially, and whose development specifically are you willing to sacrifice in hopes of trading Evan Fournier for something decent? Cause we cry when this team doesn’t prioritize the young guys, and when they FINALLY do, and it works like we always knew it would, it seems like we’re finding new ways to complain.
We could of traded him in da offseason or early in da season shortly after he was benched. If u bench him after 7 games you clearly had reservations about him. You can't tell me teams couldnt of used his three point shooting

For the life of me I have no idea how anyone who saw him play in Boston thought it would be a good idea to acquire him, nikka BEEN trash

fukking bum has been a net negative his whole career practically.

No amount of 3 point shooting can save his bytch ass when he gives it right back.

It's hilarious how I be talking shyt to y'all nikkas (formerly @RiGGA) but year after year we both end up being hot ass. I honestly have no idea who's going to win another title first, Knicks or Bulls. You not getting shyt done with Brunson as your best player, but neither are we with Lavine :russ:.

But hey, it could always be worse.. we could be fans of the Wizards or Timberwolves. Y'all ready for another mid ass season fellas
:hhh: who is this We? Your team is fukked.
We should not be bringing up Melo to defend RJ in any way man. Doing that just feels like losing the plot somehow.
Melo = Randle
JR = RJ
Tyson = Mitch
Shump = Grimes
Old Man Kidd =Hart
Pablo = DDV

When it comes to how they will be used.

The real wild cards with this team will be its PG play. The Knicks haven’t have PG play on par with IQ let alone Brunson and Thibs is a better coach than Woodson.

How am I being disingenous?

Why are you taking Fournier's word as gospel? He's a fukking jock basketball player and a veteran of course he felt a way being benched after what he considered one of the better years of his career.

The man is delusional. He has an inflated sense of self worth. Let's break down his quotes shall we?

You not Goku :unimpressed:

Spit on people? :picard:

Also, why is he mentioning @Another Man

This is nothing but his ego speaking talking about we were on the side like some prospects. He felt that was beneath him despite the fact that his replacements were bringing more value to the hardwood and helping the team win.

This was the communication right here. Thibs told him he was going to try something else go in a different direction and told him he was out of the rotation this is clear direction. Fournier due to his own self-inflated ego and having been a rotational player his entire career for a decade obviously wasn't going to be happy about this.

This is again delusion. We were never getting anything interesting for you dude. You were traded for a retiring Jeff Teague and two second rounders to Boston before you signed with us. You're a good shooter but overall not a very valuable or coveted player in this league ultimately--->replaceable.

Fournier is an expiring contract, salary filler for a potential trade that is all he is at this point...
Because this isn't the first time Thibs has done this, on this team & the others he coached......again; you being disingenuous & you know it. This isn't some random thing that keeps happening with him. It's toxic & unprofessional

And you left out the part where I said I agree with the benching & didn't even want him on the team. You call that "communication" but Thibs should've been respectful to a 10 year vet that not only cheered for the team, he didn't complain & was professional when asked questions during the season, & tried to diffuse arguments with his teammates. He was a good locker room guy that you'd want on your team & he seemed like a straight shooter; another reason why I believe him. But that's you removing any blame in this situation from Thibs & his own accountability in creating these types of unnecessary situations. Thibs has a record of this type of behavior & you continue to ignore that. I shouldn't have even responded to you bro lol. I'm done, you got it & Thibs can do no wrong lol

Thibs ain’t shyt but he got them to the second round of the playoffs.

They are not firing him and he isn’t even going to be talked to about Fournier.

Done what? Benched a player. Every coach has tough decisions to make Fournier is not the only disgruntled vet in the league.

You tell me what the hell else Thibs could have done he told the man he is trying something else and he is no longer in the rotation.

What else is there to talk about? What else is there to do?

At this stage that's true. But the FO didn't do him any favors by keeping him on the roster with Grimes primed to take his spot. It remains to be seen if they can turn that contract for any more value than they woulda gotten by doing him a solid sooner. Prolly coulda got someone to throw a second-rounder for him last year. Maybe even at the deadline this year.

It's not a huge deal either way. The team is clearly better without him playing. But on the one hand, this FO wants to convince big names that this is a destination. On the other hand, that's the second player to walk out the door and express unhappiness with the coaching situation. If the FO winds up just dumping these players for nothing, then they should do it before we reach the "disgruntled interview" stage.
I get it. But it’s still Evan Fournier. Nobody understands the hierarchy of the league more than the players themselves. When Melo left disgruntled, it was a huge stain on the franchise. Nobody gives a fukk about Fournier leaving upset. And the second we land the big fish, role players will line up trying to play for the cheap, trying to get a ring in NYC.
