I get it. But it’s still Evan Fournier. Nobody understands the hierarchy of the league more than the players themselves. When Melo left disgruntled, it was a huge stain on the franchise. Nobody gives a fukk about Fournier leaving upset. And the second we land the big fish, role players will line up trying to play for the cheap, trying to get a ring in NYC.
Literally nobody cares 😭

It's guys around the league with Evan same sob story :umad:

Thibs is one of the most well-known, regarded, and respect head coaches in the league the only people not trying to play for him are p*ssies and guys who don't play D

Fournier has a right to feel the way that he’s feeling. He probably assumed he was going to be traded by now so he’s just lashing out (similar to what Obi team did with those leaks). That being said when you see back breaking plays like this

I can't be more specific than saying play him spot minutes in blowouts and/or making a specific effort to show case him if/when you can. I'm not suggesting playing him over youth on any long term basis and I'm not suggesting spot minutes/garbage time is a magic bullet - I'm suggesting not bombing his value and the relationship, which Thibs has a history of doing, unless you actively believe all these players are just sensitive and blaming him for everything.

There is balance to be had that goes beyond all this either he rots on the bench or he's ruining the youth movement narrative being pushed in here.
Yea I just don’t agree. Evan Fournier isn’t an injury rehab player where we have to make sure he’s still got it. @ISO is right, the league knows exactly who he is. This isn’t like the Obi situation which is way more legitimate.

For fukk’s sake, the entire league laughed at him when he beat Team USA with France.

Breh either accept this ban bet y'all ain't making it past the second round (if you even make the playoffs) or humble yourself and let's be ass together pause
Bro there are levels I happily will point out because every year 29 teams don’t win it all and for a long time it was still lolknicks. We’re a good team now.

:unimpressed:

The Knicks are still a tier above the bulls and we’re making the playoffs. I’ll take a playin team bet too, maybe even a top 10 team in the league bet.
:ehh:

I’m going to enjoy them treating the riff raff teams like they ain’t shyt, because they ain’t.

Agreed. It’s about to be August and he wants to get his living situated, so his kids can know what school they’ll be in next fall etc. He doesn’t want the Knicks to take this into next years deadline like it looks like they’re planning to. It sounds like he’s upset about the latest trade rumor that fell through where we were trying to trade him into cap space so we can get his exception.

Breh y'all were routinely getting bullied by us when Lonzo was healthy :mjlol: now ya chest out cuz our star point guard is cripple.

I was tryna show solidarity in our respective front offices' ineptitude , but since this how you wanna play it I'll shut up & hold my L until we get away from that contract.

The Knicks are not giving up a 1st to get him off the roster. He's gonna have to sit tight.

If he really feels a way he can have an excused absence like Crowder.

He just collected 18m to be a glorified cheerleader and has another 19m coming his way no matter what happens. He'll live.

We could of traded him in da offseason or early in da season shortly after he was benched. If u bench him after 7 games you clearly had reservations about him. You can't tell me teams couldnt of used his three point shooting
There's no rush to trade him he's under contract...

Knicks are trying to use his contract in a trade for a star or high level piece

Fournier was included in one of the potential Donovan Mitchell trades

Fournier was included in the potential Paul George trade

The Knicks have been trying to acquire OG Anunoby

There are Joel Embiid whispers

The guys on the team badly want Mikal Bridges

You don't agree that there's a middle ground between giving him spot minutes and not playing him at all? Cool. Don't agree with me. Doesn't change that we still in the same spot.

He has no value besides his contract and we're hoping that a star shakes loose so we can use his salary as filler - if that doesn't happen, we have an asset with no value that we'll likely buy out. We went in to this off season with Rose, Fournier and Obi all as likely candidates to be gone and with the hope of packing them for an impact player. If Fournier gets bought out,all we got for those 3 were a couple of seconds. I have an issue with that's but maybe that's just me.

We're having a conversation about Fournier and everyone is getting trapped in this messenger and not the message shyt and losing the bigger picture to make corny ass jokes and showing how short sighted they really are.

Fournier represents a trend of players on this team that were obviously not part of the future that should have been moved or not brought in at all.

Fournier represents a trend of players speaking about Thibodeau's communication skills, which, as he is the head coach for the foreseeable future, could pose as an issue for us as a team as a team actively seeking to attract outside players as opposed to development from within.

Fournier represents a trend of a questionable use of assets by this front office, who seem to be singularly focused on bringing in and playing around with manageable contracts, not impact players, with the hopes of having flexibility to trade for other, better players, that have become disenchanted with their current teams. An approach that is cool in theory, but limits your ability to do anything substantial if no one actually shakes loose, or if the asking price is too high for your liking (see: Donovan Mitchell).

I don't give a fukk about Fournier. I don't give a fukk if he's happy or sad. I care about what he represents and if it will have a negative impact on the team. If he goes tomorrow, we get a decent return in value and nothing bad comes from it, great, I can shut the fukk up
But if they can't move him and they buy him out, he's another asset down the drain and one that presented the inner workings of the team poorly. People can debate the legitimacy of what he said, question if he's just in his feelings or being spiteful, but it's out there now. Just weeks after the Obi situation got out. And it doesn't look good for the team, which is all I give a fukk about.

Yall can argue that shyt differently though. The weird narratives and selective reading got this thread looking real FOX news. I'm good with all that. :hubie:
