This narrative again?

Julius doesn’t even average 36 minutes a game

He averaged 35.5, good for top 20 in the league.

Of that top 20, he's tied for 3rd most games played next to Lavine and behind Ant-Man and Bridges.

He played the 5th most minutes in the league last year.

The narrative applies, especially when there is/was a suitable backup.

@Wargames was probably right. Julius was trying to sell the Knicks hard to Paul George during the interview. Considering the organization goes through everything with Julius in the know maybe this was a plan.

One thing is clear from all of the trade rumors. The Knicks are searching for a star wing player instead of a star center

@Daniel.

This is exactly why we say what said about Thibs & his coaching. Who would wanna play for a coach like this? It's a shame the way the FO has allowed him to handle Obi. Thibs could've built up his trade value this season which would've helped in this draft

This is the part that always kills me.

Even if you don't think a player fits your long term needs, you still showcase in pockets to raise their value and see if someone bites. If they're going and the team is winning, let them go. It's a long season, let them shine, your favorites will inevitably shine.

So many of these coaches come across as emotional with this shyt and let personal vendettas or whatever the issue is fukk up opportunities for the team to get better.

Truth bro

If Obi didn't fit in what he wanted to do then that's fine. Showcase him when you can & see what you can get. Obi may never be an All Star player but I'm pretty confident he's going to be able to contribute & get consistent minutes with any team he plays for; especially if they play to his strengths & put him in positions to succeed. We probably could've moved up in the draft had Thibs played him more

What exactly is a showcase in your opinion? Obi didn’t rot on the bench collecting DNPs. He played plenty. He has film. He has playoff film. He has extended end of season film. Thibs did the most they could without sacrificing wins in his eyes.
