Maybe its just me but if its a good quality piece of meat like a filet mignon, cooking it medium well/well done is just fine. Its still going to be pretty tender. Also, pieces of meat like a ribeye with good marblilization are going to be flavorful regardless of how you cook it. To me its all about the preparation/marination.

Oh yeah, our digestive system is tailor made for eating plants, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, not meat like true meat eating animals if you want to get technical.

:what:

Humans are omnivores, our digestive systems can handle plant-based and animal-based foods. If we weren't "tailor made" for it then we wouldn't be able to digest meat. The one thing I will say is that our digestive systems aren't really made for is dairy, most people are lactose intolerant to some extent.

Personally I rarely eat pork/beef, though I eat seafood and chicken pretty regularly. But on the rare occasions when I do have steak, I can't fukk with anything less done than medium. Getting well done steaks is ghetto (even tho I grew up doing this), but at the same time I can't do the rare/medium-rare thing.

Guess what? Lions can eat vegetables and fruits, doesn't mean they're designed to. Your ignorance of diet will steer me clear of trying to grapple words with you in the future.

Stop it please, you can't argue against our bodily design :snoop:

:russ: @ that biased ass site

Our closest evolutionary relatives, chimps, are very decidedly omnivorous. In addition to plant foods, they consume large quantities of insects, and whatever small animals that they catch. In fact one of the reasons humans are at the top of the food chain is that we're generalists that can handle plant-based food and meats.

Now if you want to be a vegan/vegetarian because you're concerned about animal welfare, or you think it's healthier, I can respect that, but the idea that we're natural herbivores that got corrupted into eating meat is laughable and wouldn't be on an actual credible scientific website. Hell, even this vegetarian website admits that.
