The influences of hip hop come from various places and people, but that finished product of hip hop that we all came to know and love was born in THE BRONX.

I know my music history son and hip hop started in NYC and dj kool herc was the founding member and he was influenced by his Caribbean culture growing up which used djs to host parties. Y'all Americans seem to forget NYC has a lot of people from the islands who shaped hip hop.
All you have to do is listen to Kool Hercs interviews on Youtube to know the truth. Its people who could care less about the truth who keep making up shyt!

You obviously don't because Kool Herc didn't rap, Coke La rock did(black american). His sound system was an emulation of American type of sound systems which had a more clean sound, and not emphazing bass, he said this on the combat jack podcast show.

The reason why Kool herc is named the father of hip hop is not because of rapping, its because he was the first person to play break beats as a theme of his party.

NONE of this had to do with Jamaica! He was 12 when he came here, and couldn't get into the jams, this is what he said

NYC had very little Jamaicans int he early 70's, they only stated coming in large droves between 1976-1980. Listen to the founding member of the black spades gang tell you how the Bronx was at the time, and where Hip hop really came from, as far as the street portion of it. It were Puerto ricans who were the main minorities besides blacks.

thats how the white man was able to whitewash history, it started in the bronx in 1974 by dj kool herc extending the breaks to classic records. everyone from krs one to the historians agree, . same way eminem is seen as a goat lyricist, confuse mthafckas.

i always thought hip hop started in new york, but i dont know now. kool herc, bambatta and grandmaster flash are all caribbean.

This video is some bullshyt, anyone who actually listened to the people who helped create hip hop will tell you the guy with the dreads is saying the same lie that west indians have been saying for years. They aren't hip hop heads, they just got into once it got big, heard Herc was Jamaican, and just created a fake story that hasn't been challenged by most people unless you read.

Mans really think people were dancing and having a good time in cold ass NYC before the Jamaicains arrived?

:heh:
nikka it's called a nightclub for a reason. You need to get off the beach, and learn about the world. And YES, we had block parties because you know the weather isn't always cold, right?

What's sad is you're in London where the black population is only either mostly Jamaican or African, but you're telling US about how things are when you probably never even met a Black American!

Looks like you're projecting how things are in LONDON!:mjlol:
