Damn my h7 monitor died. I put it on today and it wasn't working. Luckily my polar watch has GPS, if not u could've used my phone.

I got home, checked the battery, it's full. I swapped batteries and backs with my second h7 monitor which is technically my girls'. It works fine. Did a hard reset, electric reset, unscrewed it and looked inside, there wasn't much to see. It died :yeshrug: I wish I knew what happened but oh well I have a second one. I still have an older one like and h2, h3 or h1 which ever one came with her watch.

I'm a cop another one off eBay or maybe a new one for $40.

Kind of sucks but didn't deter me from riding.

There's a sneaky way to get a free one :scheme:

Just buy another one and return it on the spot or next day with the old unit In the box, tell them it was faulty or some shyt

Meeting with a builder to discuss getting a bike made next Monday. Aiming to get a stiff, lugged, steel frame with aggressive geometry that still handles ok at lower speeds when I'm riding with my wife and daughter. I'm riding a track frame right now, but it's a little too small. Figured if I'm gonna get a new bike, i may as well get exactly what i want.

How did it go? Those look fun. You did it on a road bike?
I concur with @Jean toomer.

Yep, road bike. I'm use to fast group rides that typically stay in the 24-28mph range but crit racing is a whole different world. Doing the same speeds but you have a bike on your left and a bike on your right trying to get on the wheel in front of you to draft. Basically a game of high speed chicken. So you have to concentrate on not clipping the wheel in front of you while worrying about how crazy are the people beside you.

That shyt freaked me out in the first couple of turns so I backed off. Ended up slipping off the back of the main peloton and got dropped. Felt better my second race and held on a few laps longer.

Overall, fun but definitely a challenge. CAT5 guys sprinting 30-35mph out of corners. I'm more conditioned for endurance riding. I'm going hard on training now to see if I can hang with them boys.

Found a 2009 Jamis Sputnik on CL last night, gonna pick it up after work today. The geometry is pretty close to what i want with my custom build, so I'm gonna put it together with a bunch of spare parts i have, test it out a bit, and then probably pass it on to my brother in law so we can ride together.

I'd do that but I actually respect polar and by proxy anyone selling polar.

Hell if I wanted a lick. I could sell my broken one on ebay.

Usually when I sell electronics on ebay I link a video showing it works. I sold a some music keyboards, mpc 2000 xl, etc, car stereo, amp and speakers. I don't want people saying "it didn't work!" And trying to claim a refund. So I sell as is, post a video of it working and put no refunds.

I could do some slight of hand shyt and the one I have that works and swap it with the broken one but I don't want to fukk someone over especially if they're buying something I support. I'd hate to rip someone off on a Polar then see or hear them get a fitbit or some shyt.
