Lenses hard as fukk :banderas:

Took a pic real quick on my ride break

kept seeing all the cacs on their super bikes with these type of glasses, my pops gave me a pair of Giro Havik glasses, they were cool but I wanted lenses in these colors so i can look like a try hard :lolbron:

All the reviews online were really good, a few had em on top 5 cycling glasses, I got em at a steal on Backcountry.com
Yeah I like those. I been using some of these $20 joints off Amazon. I like changable lenses but they fog easily when I sweat.

I highly recommend em, I got mine for $92 and with upgraded shipping, smith optics still sells them on their site for $250 :russ:

They also come with rose lenses.

They use magnetic hinges to swap out the lenses, super easy, and after my ride today in the windy ass beach, they did a great job, like the reviews say, you see everything, it's a one piece lense with just the nose bridge and 2 arms, you see the size on the lenses :dame:
It's like the lenses are on ur eyes themselves cuz no matter how hard u turn ur eyes u can see clearly, they also have some special coat that wicks away any liquids, and I got no type of fog even on my inclines, the lamination on the Giro Haviks were distorting and would capture fog wen u would push myself hard, these never fogged up

Wat app do you use to track ur cycling?

I bought the tickr HRM strap at REI

Joined their co-op so I got 20% off

I decided to use my phone as my biking computer, so my watch is now just an expensive step tracker :russ:

I tried alot of apps today on my 50mile bike ride, but I still like the S health app just off this lock screen alone

You can reorganize this screen to show wat ever u want, but the main reason I like it is that it's blacked out so it's saving some battery from having the screen always on, I tried Strava but the stuff it showed me on screen wasn't what I wanted to see, it showed me averages of speed and HR instead of current readings,I tried map my ride and the wahoo fitness app that my tickr is built for, that one does allow you to lock the screen but it's still the same bright white one, it shows the most advanced details but by pages, so you can't pick and choose wat u want the page to show you

So Cal
Thread got me interested. I asked a couple of dudes who ride at my job, they said you need to spend like $1000 for a decent bike. that true?

Need?

Hell no. As long as it has two wheels, pedals, handlebars and a seat with a chain, you can ride from point a to point b. Anything else is just bells and whistles.
Wat kind of watch you got?

I'm thinking of upgrading to those Garmin Feinix 5 watches

shyt....i saw the commercial for those :whoo: . They look nice.

I rock the polar m400.

I don’t think I’ve seen the commercials for it, just always see those watches in online top smart watch list, I might have to wait a bit again

Been running more and more now, so been buying Nike and Adidas work out gear, but I HATE cross branding So I had to buy dedicated running shoes from both as well :francis:

Haven’t added shyt to my savings in months :mjlol:

I hate cross branding too but I realized when I'm out there I dont be noticing what other people wear or have. Hell I didn't realize how many riders ride with a camelback until I started riding with one. Even when im running on the trail I don't be concerned about anyone but myself.

I think the biggest and most important investment is time. I just want to stay active, keep riding, keep running. It kind of sucks. I make it a priority to stay active, not only as work but because it's fun. I can just hop on the bike and cruise around. No racing, no pushing myself, just enjoying the ride and the city. But my spouse, family and friends want to do shyt like just chill, or go out to eat, watch a movie.

It's just the same work-life-hobby balance thing. Last thing I want to do is keep spending money.

Yeah, I see it more as an investment to my new hobby/life style

Went on an 8 mile hike with my dad in the am, took about 2 1/2 hrs, now I’m looking for a deal on some hiking boots :jbhmm:

Good thing is I ain’t got no kids or GF, and my work schedule gets me 4 days off in a row unless I pick up some OT, so I have all the time in the world to do whatever

Pops said he’s been to the amateur bike races and gonna look into the next one to take me to go watch, only thing is it’s in Newport Beach, and that side of the coast is super :mjpls:
